    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.5SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.2.5.1SF-HW

On the Advanced Tab -> Security -> Schedule it gives you an option to set days/times to block access. Does this work for you or do you need to physically disable wireless for some reason?

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.33SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.1.34SF-HW

The short answer is that it depends. AP mode restricts a ton of functionality like Armor, Parental Controls, Disney Circle, Device Management, etc. Having those not active certainly helps for performance of your Orbi. Now whether or not having those disabled with router mode on makes a...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.5SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.2.5.1SF-HW

This needs to get added to the frequently asked questions. Voxel builds for the RBK50 because that is the device he owns. Unlikely to get an RBK40 since that would be a downgrade.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.5SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.2.5.1SF-HW

As of the most recent Voxel firmware it is still required to flash to stock before performing a factory reset.

Not at all. I apologize if it came across that way. I was just reporting back for others that may have the urge to test out 2.7.0.70 so they can flash back down to .16 before they flash your amazing firmware back on so they don't have to deal with TFTP. Thank you for your efforts. We all go...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.5SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.2.5.1SF-HW

I was on the latest Voxel. Flashed 2.7.0.70, then factory reset.. ran it for a couple of days. It was fine, no issues. Didn't notice any speed or other issues.. After a few days I wanted to go back to Voxell so I manually flashed the satellites one at a time. They appeared to come back fine...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.5SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.2.5.1SF-HW

For what it is worth, I flashed 2.7.0.70 to check it out, after tried flashing the latest Voxel back on and it soft bricked my router AND both my satellites (just a manual upgrade, no factory reset). I TFTP 2.7.0.70 back on and tried again and same thing happened. I ended up having to TFTP...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.33SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.1.34SF-HW

To be fair, some small vocal % of the community has a problem with firmware upgrades. I downloaded and flashed and am running it right now without issue. But then I don't have a complicated environment, run wired backhaul, keep all defaults, have Parental Control, Disney Circle and Netgear Armor...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.5SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.2.5.1SF-HW

(copy / paste from Reddit) If you go to the advanced setup in the web dashboard to IP6, what are the settings on stock vs. Voxel: It was disabled by default for me on Voxel

While I can't say why your first attempt did not work, TFTP of Voxel will probably never work since that is essentially a factory reset as part of that process. That said, glad to hear you're back up and running.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.2.5SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.2.5.1SF-HW

Updated satellites and router. Smooth process, up and running fast and stable. Thank you!

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.33SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.1.34SF-HW

I've not heard of this happening before. Did you try and factory reset while on Voxel or manually reboot the router before the upgrade was complete? Those are the only situations I've heard that have required a TFTP. Not at all, my router runs in AP mode and never an issue with upgrades to...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.33SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.1.34SF-HW

That seems to be a pattern for where the image files are hosted in their network for auto distribution, great find.I notice that .16, for example, is in a similar location: https://http.fw.updates1.netgear.com/rbr50/V2.5.1/ww/RBR50-V2.5.1.16.img I wonder if there is a manifest file (XML, etc)...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.33SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.1.34SF-HW

If it were me and seeing the issues you were, I would do this (full steps in order) 1) Flash stock firmware (.16) to each individual satellite. 2) Flash stock firmware (.16) to the router. 3) Unplug the satellites and router from power once firmware flash is fully complete. 4) Factory reset...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.33SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.1.34SF-HW

The Voxel I linked above is based on .32, the variance being inetd. If that doesn't resolve your issue than .32 probably won't either I suspect. Follow the steps I outlined above (flash stock .16, factory reset, leave defaults, don't enable any services) and then flash the linked Voxel and...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.33SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.1.34SF-HW

Try this one: http://www.voxel-firmware.com/Downloads/Voxel/Orbi-RBK50-Voxel-firmware/RBK50-V9.2.5.1.34SF-HW.zip There is not a thread specifically on it. It is .32 with the inetd from a prior firmware. See if it works for you. I'd suggest flashing stock, factory resetting, keeping all of the...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.33SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.1.34SF-HW

You don't want to load .32. It had the inetd issue which would eat up resources and slow the router down. That is why they pulled it from download servers. If you want that level of firmware, use the latest Voxel in the download link. It has that level with a working inetd file.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.33SF-HW & v. 9.2.5.1.34SF-HW

This appears to being pushed to folks that were updated to 2.5.1.32 that got pulled, presumably to fix the inetd high utilization issue. We got somewhat of a patch for that with Voxel V9.2.5.1.34 which uses the inetd from a prior version of the firmware.
