XT8 new firms 3.0.0.4.386.41793 and 9.0.0.4.386.41994 Beta with many improvements

Mot of the improvements seem to be in the official release (41793) so if you don't want to install the beta (.41994) you can just install the official release and get the majority of the new features.

    XT8 FW 3.0.0.4.386.26044 breaks Sonos

Not sure I’m clear as to what you mean but net is I’ll give it a week or so and see what experience others have with it before I upgrade my production XT8s.

    XT8 FW 3.0.0.4.386.26044 breaks Sonos

Think I'll let someone else be the guinea pig on this one...a prodction FW version and a beta released on the same day gives me pause...and since I don't have any issues with the current FW, and no Sonos equipment anymore...

    XT8 FW 3.0.0.4.386.26044 breaks Sonos

I transitioned from Sonos to HEOS about a year ago. Updated my 2 XT8s (router and 1 mesh node) the day the FW was released and have had zero problems.

    Weird XT8 Bug

Just wanted to report a very weird bug I just experienced with my XT8s. I have them configured as a router and node using wireless backhaul on current FW. They have been running fine with no problems. Last week I decided to turn the LEDs off on both units using the mobile app. After doing so I...

Problem turning off XT8 LED light

On the home screen of the mobile app you should see 3 icons near the bottom of the screen in an arc. First one is “Internet Status”, next one is “AiMesh Wi-Fi System”, and third one is “Wi-Fi Information”. Select the middle icon “AiMesh Wi-Fi System” and you will see the picture of all your...

Problem turning off XT8 LED light

Using the mobile app from the Home screen click on the mesh node in the picture and LED Settings toggle will be at the top. IIRC that turns off the LED.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

I have lots of home automation devices as well but I use all z-wave and zigbee (mostly z-wave) devices with a Smartthings hub. I don't want all of my home automation stuff on my wifi network.

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0

I'm running XT8's using the current released firmware. I have 2 Harmony hubs, one in my HT and one in my family room two floors apart. I added them both to the Roaming Block tab in the wireless settings since they never move. Haven't had any problems. As someone else recommended I also keep...

    Xt8 Hard Factory Reset

That is current official release and both mine were running that as well. Make sure you hold it long enough. IIRC I had to hold it for awhile and I think it went thru an on/off/on/off cycle. I kinda just kept holding it till it would not come on again...then left it go.

    Xt8 Hard Factory Reset

That is odd for sure. That process (see below) worked perfectly for both of my XT8’s. 1. Turn the router off. 2. Press and hold the "WPS" button and turn the router on. 3. Power light is on (keep holding the WPS button). 4. Release the WPS button after the power light is off. 5. Reboot your...

    ZenWiFi AX XT8 - Have I made a mistake?

That is an odd one for sure. Only thing I can think of is do a complete power off and then back on of her laptop (not just a reboot) and make sure her wireless adapter driver is up to date.

    ZenWiFi AX XT8 - Have I made a mistake?

My xt8 node is about 35’ away from my xt8 router, one floor above. The node is in one of our guest bedrooms and the router is in my office. Several of rooms between the two. The wireless backhaul is “Great”.

    Xt8 Hard Factory Reset

I would like to confirm the correct way to do a hard factory reset on my XT8s, is this the correct procedure? - 1. Turn the router off. 2. Press and hold the "WPS" button and turn the router on. 3. Power light is on (keep holding the WPS button). 4. Release the WPS button after the power...
