    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

I put log-facility=/jffs/logs/dnsmasq.log in my dnsmasq.conf.add file and then restarted the service. However nothing gets created in that location. Am i missing something?

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

Also, how does the final script change when dealing with domains instead of a list of IPs?

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

I'm sorry, you lost me at the beginning. What do I do to tail dnsmasq etc? Do I still set it to ipset=bbc.co.uk/www.bbc.co.uk/IPLAYER? Or shouldn't it be a more broad catchall now? In any case it is saying no such file as dnsmasq again, even though I still have DNS filtering activated. Also, I...

Let me know if you figure it out.

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

Yeah I tried that, although I ended up replacing the list of domains I found with a more exhaustive list that Xentrk found. I think the problem however is that it was only catching domains with relation to iPlayer. I will try without the filter later on.

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

Who knows. I don't really have an understanding of what exactly is contained in the script. I was hoping that other peoples knowledge about it would see me through. But that might not suffice. Yes, I'm sure the IP is correct. The only thing I can think is that the streaming box app accesses...

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

Yeah I had to change to a less than ideal TCP protocol for my VPN config. I also still get those errors, but the script partially works now. It works for laptop, not for streaming box, (where it's really needed). No. I don't have anything listed in the Policy Rules, just the setting set as...

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

Ok, I got the script to work despite the errors. However it only works on my laptop. The Apple TV still says an emphatic "NO". It seems that the tcp VPN config helped. How do I get this working with a UDP config since they are apparently much faster? and any ideas how to troubleshoot the Apple...

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

    Still got the errors. Here is the output line by line: /jffs/scripts$ iptables -t mangle -D PREROUTING -i br0 -p tcp -m set --match-set LAN_GW src,dst -j MARK --set-mark 0x7000/0x7000 iptables: No chain/target/match by that name. /jffs/scripts$ iptables -t mangle -A PREROUTING -i br0 -p tcp -m...

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

Thanks for bearing with me on this. I'll try out your suggestions later on. My router is AC68U (converted from T-mobile cellspot) with latest stable firmware 380.68_2

That is too cryptic for me.

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

What should I still have for the Policy Rules? Should I have 0.0.0.0 set for the Appltv ip? Or should the policy rules fields be blank? Either way it isn't working properly. With 0.0.0.0 everything goes through VPN as youd expect, as if the script doesn't exist, and if Policy rules are blank...

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

Hi. there were no non-unix character. Here is the output from ip rule: /jffs/scripts$ ip rule 0: from all lookup local 9990: from all fwmark 0x7000 lookup main 9991: from all fwmark 0x1000 lookup ovpnc1 10101: from 192.168.1.175 lookup ovpnc1 32766: from all lookup main...

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

I restarted my VPN Client and reran the script. A lot less errors this time, but still some: + iptables -t mangle -D PREROUTING -i br0 -p tcp -m set --match-set LAN_GW src,dst -j MARK --set-mark 0x7000/0x7000 iptables: No chain/target/match by that name. + iptables -t mangle -A PREROUTING -i...

Hi Xentrik, I am also getting the same fault everywhere in that latest script.

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

So I shoudl replace the IPLAYER script with the one you have here? What about changing the Client 3 to Client 1? Do I change anything else in the script? Maybe it's easier for me to just fix what was wrong in the old script, but I do not know what you discovered.

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

OK, thanks. It could also be that I am not rerunning the script properly as I do not know the proper commands to do that. I have just been executing from right click menu in winscp.

Whatusmyipaddress reports WAN IP. As I said before there is no reason for it to report anything differently since your previous request was for me to remove all mention of my laptop IP from the script and from policy rules.

    Selective Routing with Asuswrt-Merlin

Sorry, I get lost when you say remove laptop from GUI and from OVPNC1 but then say whatismyipaddress should show UK (presumably from the laptop browser). It shows US and I can't see how it would show UK if I removed that laptop from the policy rules? In any case, I have run that script, if by...
