amtm amtm - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu

If you need best performance use "ext2" if you prefer file system redundancy and stability in case of power loss/dirty unmount use "ext4" with journaling enabled. Also the above mentioned suggestion is only applicable on USB flash drives due to extra write load of journled filesystem. If you're...

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

Remove the * and add it like "connectedpdf.com" and Diversion will do the rest.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

As I said in my last reply the router already does that if you leave the DHCP DNS fields empty. Why your Android device is not respecting the settings is something I can't tell you without further troubleshooting.

Then probably your Android device is using hardcoded Google DNS (I know most Android devices prefer Google DNS by default) and I don't think it's something due to the router and the only thing you can do to bypass that hardcoded DNS is to use DNSFILTER.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

I don't have an Android device so I'm not sure how its DNS implementation works but you can try this. Under LAN->DHCP Server Keep both the DNS fields blank but enable "Advertise router's IP in addition to user-specified DNS" Also if you keep both the DNS fields blank it'll use the router's IP...

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

Ahh!! If that's the case then my argument is already invalidated, I never looked at it and thought that it's due to the Addons API. Apologies!!

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

I would've agreed to that argument 100% prior to the introduction of Addons page but now since we have it and respectfully Diversion is still an Addon script to the Asuswrt-Merlin so IMHO it belongs in the Addons tab. @RMerlin adds that page and Addons API for a reason, to give developers a...

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

Any specific reason to not use the Addons page? Technically Diversion is not a native part of Asuswrt-Merlin (well not yet wink wink) and it's an Add-on to Asuswrt-Merlin so all such script's Web-Ui should be under that page instead of scattered all over the firmware WebUI, that's just my two...

amtm amtm - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu

One more vote for No auto firmware updates even though I know it's possible from a CLI. But a firmware update check within AMTM is not bad, like when we press "u" AMTM compares the router's installed firmware with current latest released firmware and tell us if a new version is available or...

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

Yep opkg (autocorrects puff) I no longer use pixelserv-tls and using Diversion lite so I didn't test the repurcussions for that in advance and that's exactly why I said do it on your own risk lol but you're right it's really isn't necessary if pixelserv-tls is already disabled.

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

opkg remove pixelserv-tls This will remove pixelserv-tls package from your router, though I don't know for sure if removing this manually will have any hazardous effects on Diversion so do it on your own risk. Edit: Fixed the type, but DO NOT do it, read the later replies.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

I know it'll only show when we have the local caching enabled and that's necessary for my use case due to some home baked scripts I use, also it's needed for LAN name resolution.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

thelonelycoder Any chance you can force remove router's DNS query to "dns.msftncsi.com" from Diversion statistics? It totally messes up the generated report and I can't disable it because of Dual WAN.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

Youtube had a slight hick-up today for a few minutes and it went down almost all over the world, I believe what you experienced was just due to that.
