OT - surviving pandemic from personal experience (no trolling, PLEASE)

I already know about the possibility of reinfection because your body's immune system is at the lowest when you recover from such a virus and it can be overwhelmed with a second attack within a few days of recovery, though your body immune response will be a lot faster due to already created...

Congrats!!! May it remain that way but don't forget to still follow all the precautions. Here in my country, a man recovered from the virus throws a party of 100 people to celebrate and got the virus again. [emoji16][emoji16]

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

I agree that's exactly why I didn't post the URL of your repo either. Honestly, firmware compilation is a risky business and those who don't know how to set up a simple build environment manually and need a script to do all the weight lifting shouldn't even try doing that. No offense to your...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

It'll happen when it'll happen, As Eric said in last few posts he's currently busy with other stuff but as per his Github commits logs he's still working whenever the time permits so right now we just have to be patient, wait and isolate ourselves just like the rest of the world.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

For the reboot part, you can use Asus's router management app, it does include the reboot node option. I don't think the second thing is possible via the app or GUI because it's an Asuswrt-Merlin only feature (AFAIK) so your only option is SSH or a script to automate the control.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 beta (and 384.13_5) are available

It may be due to excess network load on such services these days.

Ahan nice that's a pretty good system. Honestly, right now the best thing we as people can do is self-quarantine as much as possible to contain the spread of Virus thus helping the health care system overcome the extra load and give all the attention to the critical and needy patients.

How's the COVID19 situation there? Here in Pakistan they've closed all Malls/restaurants and public offices in major cities for next two weeks at least.

If you guys need scripting support on AiMesh nodes go for AsusWRT-Merlin if not go for stock, it's as simple as that.

Specific routes in Dual WAN routing failover mode

I know I'm opening an old grave lol but I recently had to do something like this myself and the last thing you need for a successful solution is an iptables POSTROUTING Masquerade rule. Something like this: iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s x.x.x.x/24 -d y.y.y.y -j MASQUERADE x.x.x.x is your...

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

As far as I can see, Apple didn't change the Root Certificate Authority time duration and it can be still valid for 10 years, what's changed/being changed is the clients certificate time duration from 825 days to 398 days and you don't need to import client certificates to devices, Pixelserv-tls...

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

Pixelserv-tls generate the client certificates on the fly for all the blocked domain entries and to complete the TLS handshake you need a proper Root Certificate Authority to sign the generated client certificates. You can't use the already generated certificates from a third party Root CA to...

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

Sure, if you can spend thousands of dollars to get a Root Certificate Authority for your own personal use, you can do that lol.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

My answer is for someone who is using DoT on an external device like a mobile/PC and not on the router. In that case router will not intercept dns queries going through port 853 because the global filter mode=Router only works for port 53.
  18. Asad Ali

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

Okay DoT is the culprit here, DNSFilter only force redirect DNS queries on port 53 but DoT uses port 853.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

As per design if you've set the global filter mode to Router, it should still force redirect the clients DNS to router.
