RT-N66U VPN Bypass or separate SSID

I am currently with PIA VPN and using a script on Padavan I was able to achieve VPN bypass on my RT-N56U. I am trying to do the same on my RT-N66U, the reason being Hulu Plus doesn't work via VPN, and connecting a console through VPN causes lag spikes. Is there a way to set up a Virtual Wireless...

    N66U QoS question

Thank you so much for your post. After several attempts, I was able to flash a stock upgrade and then move to Shibby's Tomato. Working alright so far, trying to get the learning curve for QoS down. Thanks again friend.

    N66U QoS question

I'm doing a minor upgrade from N56U to N66U due to more firmware flexibility on the N66U. I am wondering if I should go Shibby or Toastman. I need OpenVPN, USB and QoS functionality. I have only a 7mbps down/7mbps up line. Which firmware would allow priority to my Roku boxes when playing media...

N56U - Padavan Firmware - PIA - VPN Client Setup Help please

I got it working I think by manually assigning IPs via DHCP, and then just put the device i needed outside of the range in the script. So far it seems to work! Thanks!!

Did you get selective routing to work on the RT-N56U to bypass the VPN using certain LAN addresses? I think you wanted to have a PS3 outside of the VPN, were you able to?

    moonman Padavan by-pass VPN

I would like to bypass my VPN on my Roku 3 when using my RT-N56U. I am using moonmans padavan trunk and tried setting up a static route on my ASUS using the Device's IP and my ASUS as it's gateway, but I seem to be still connecting via the VPN. What I am trying to accomplish is have my Roku 3's...

OpenWRT is available for N56U (full support, including both wireless radios)

Seems to be a bug with RALINK chipsets, maybe moonman can shed some light? https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/12313 https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/17556

OpenWRT is available for N56U (full support, including both wireless radios)

N No. Don't get me wrong, moonman has been doing miracles making trunks supporting a router that's a few years old, but I love OPENWRT due to flexibility but on this router the WiFi tends to drop out often. I recently upgraded to trunk 46006 to try to solve the 2.4Ghz issue and no luck, only...

OpenWRT is available for N56U (full support, including both wireless radios)

If you used a squashfs version of the update just go into the System>Flash Firmware and flash a *-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin file. Currently using 46006 and even earlier versions my 2.4 has been flaky. I would use 5GHz solely but it has weaker concrete wall penetration and I have a legacy linux...

OpenWRT is available for N56U (full support, including both wireless radios)

Anyone been having issues with Trunk builds by moonman (Chaos Calmer) where 2.4GHz tends to drop, and sometimes 5GHz has problems with Survey Floor Noise? I tried to sysupgrade to 46006 but occasionally my 2.4GHz drops. What trunk version is Barrier Breaker stable? I would rather go downgrade to...

OpenWRT is available for N56U (full support, including both wireless radios)

There isn't less activity, I still use this router and has no support for any other firmwares, I've gotten so used to OpenWRT that I love it now. Although I picked a bad day to sysupgrade since I can't access packages. I'll have to restore a backup ;)

OpenWRT is available for N56U (full support, including both wireless radios)

I for the life of me cannot get OpenWRT to install on my RT-N56U. I've tried via stock ASUS firmware version 3.0.0.4.376_3879 using webUI, I've tried from moonman's modded padavan version webUI. I have also tried setting up my wired Desktop to 192.168.1.11 and TFTP the BB version...

    N14/N56/N65 QOS UP/DOWN + BFQ with Padavan's F/W builds

moonman , I really really want to thank you for your contribution to this router. If you accept donations via paypal please let me know =) . Glad you've moved to OpenWRT. Seems you keep this router alive and kicking well beyond what I expected to get from it!!

    Padavan's Custom Firmware

Is anyone aware if Padavans supports some kind of QoS? I watch a lot of streaming and don't want to constantly buffer. Maybe QoS by Mac address or internal ip? It's for a streaming box. Any help is appreciated!
