Based on the lack of reported issues with the latest firmware, myself included, I think it's pretty solid right now with GT-AC5300. I'm loving it.

Thanks for the insight, I have Outlook open 24/7 so that is definitely plausible. Benefits and drawbacks of working from home :)

I'm getting a ton of these update_qos_data entries in the log. I have QoS disabled. Running 15984. Any insight? It would be awesome to be able to assign certain ports to OpenVPN rather than IP's. Have a single node use both the local ISP as well as a VPN depending on the port being used for transmission. Hope they add that some day.

Sidetracking to Smart Connect really quick. Has anybody had issues connecting WiFi IP cameras to the network, or using a Logitech Harmony Ultimate with device detection on 2.4Ghz, and found a fix? I'd like to enable it but can't because my IP cameras over WiFi will see the Smart Connect SSID but...

15984 has been solid for me, no hiccups. Really enjoying this router again. On a side note, is there a way to see what devices are behind a device reporting to be serving multiple connections? In my network map it shows a Cisco (hostname) device serving 5 connections, the icon is a Canon Photo...

This is my last reply on the topic of our debate. You had a far different set of symptoms than I, leading to far more uncertainty that it could have been any device (if it was a device at all) causing the performance hit. Your issues facilitated that troubleshooting. My symptoms, as stated, were...

Easier said and preached in practice than done when you have a network of 30+ devices, kids who use the internet, and work from home. Time to test network functionality one device at-a-time is not a luxury I have. But it really matters nothing to anybody here because I discovered my own...

Update to my woes. After nearly an hour trying to get my network back in shape last night while friends were over (and kids running around being crazy since internet movies weren't working), I looked down and saw that my Kindle Fire HDX wasn't connecting to my Blue Iris home surveillance system...

Upgraded to 15564, restored to factory defaults and set up fresh. Also enabled IPS. Will report back findings soon as events happen. After 10-15 minutes, things are stable so far. EDIT: That didn't last long. Half an hour of uptime then, like the prior FW builds, all wired connections dropped...

Yes, download/upload speeds. EDIT: Just upgraded to 15564, here are my speeds (usually a bit better late at night):

Do you have smart connect enabled? If so, only one SSID will show and the rest will simply be utilized after a connection is requested from the client. When I have that enabled only my 5Ghz SSID shows. I had to disable it though because some of my WiFi devices, like IP cams, don't see the WiFi...

Understood. Have already gone through disconnecting all and adding one at a time last week. Issue happened even with only one device (My PC) on the wired LAN in safe mode with networking.

You're not understanding or I'm not explaining right. The statics were ONLY set on the router, not the devices. Now they are ONLY set on the devices, not the router. I was a Sr. Sys Admin for over five years before I started my security services career so I know this stuff pretty well :)

Yeah that's what I switched config too. Seems to have solved my issues of the router disconnecting all wired LAN nodes. So odd.

I used the beta firmware for an hour yesterday and had more issues than with the current release firmware. I understand the difference between DHCP and static assignment :) With all versions of the firmware I had routine network disconnects for all devices that were wired on the LAN, WiFi was...

Been running 11243 since yesterday with no issues, but I think the thing that did the biggest benefit was removing all static LAN IP Assignments from DHCP. Without those things have been smoother across the entire network (Logitech Harmony Hub not taking 5+ seconds to reconnect when activating...

So I tried the new FW on page 26, it made my disconnects problem worse. I was able to connect via ethernet once and then after a few seconds, never again (even after reboots). Then I reverted back to 11243, which made the issue about the same frequency as the FW update from June. Then I...
