Help with basic ROUTE Command usage under windows

I'm trying to setup a couple of custom routes on a Windows box but not having much success. I want a to make a windows box use a specific gateway when contacting a specific IP range. So for example if the destination is ANY IP starting with 216.246.122.* I want it to use the 192.168.1.1...
