    My method (well it's not my method, but I get what you mean :) ) involves the WPS button. Rescue mode uses the RESET button. I wish Asus would just have one, guaranteed successful, way of resetting these things!

    I can only say it is not the firmware that is the problem. Many here are using it successfully. IMO its the best, most stable version since 378.4950, months ago. You don't say what you are doing with your 2 ac87s, but I have 1 acting as router and one as AP, connected to it, and both are working very well.     5Ghz beamforming does, indeed, seem, at least for a few hours, to be working :). 5 hours connection time on multiple devices. If we can fix the iPad Air problem and I think I'll be happy.

    I have had the new 9110 beta on my router for 4 days and AP for 6 days now and the problem has not reoccured. Its a bit soon to say - I'll feedback in another week - but I do believe this might now be fixed

    I had 2 ac87s up for 100 days using 378.4950, but they have had real problems since. I'm hopefully, based on 9110, we are getting close to another good one though.

    So suddenly @about 9PM yesterday the mDNSNetMonitor errors stopped on both AP and Router and haven't come back 12 hours later. I've absolutely no idea what happened at that time - no devices were rebooted or any services changed. A bit of a mystery. Not sure they were ever actually a problem...
