    Wireless not working after awhile

Yes downgrade should not take away your settings. However, I would back up the settings so you can restore under administration. I might go back to stock as well.

Need help finding a powerful and stable Asus router

So your suggesting keeping the same ssid across board is better option then having each band have it on. Do you have 86 using Merlin? It will be great to know your settings for bands. Like for 2.4 should I leave it to only 20mhz and auto channel and for 5 should I leave to 20/40/80 and auto...

Need help finding a powerful and stable Asus router

That's actually not a bad idea of keepin both of mine 66 and using them as AP with 86 being main router. I will have more coverage that I ever did before. However, i won't be able to keep same SSID right for 2.4 and 5g? I have seen smart connect on factory firmware on 88. Does Merlin offer that...

Need help finding a powerful and stable Asus router

I have been a great fan of Asus routers for a very long time and having Merlin on top unleash it powers. I have two Asus RT-N66R, one as a main router and second as access point. These routers are extremely stable and can take a lot of beating still without loosing it's performance. I can't...
