RT-AC3200 won't let me disable QoS in the GUI. Is there a line command?

Thank you for this, it was the only thing I found that worked. I wonder if Asus is aware of this issue? EDIT: I'm reading that the latest firmware (3.0.0.4.384_81858-g80b1d3f) may resolve the QOS disable issue.

AC68U on Frontier FIOs Lower UL/DL Speeds than MI424WR?

Finally, a resolution. It was the QOS settings. For some reason I had manually set it to 30/30 when I initially enabled that. It never occurred to me to check that particular setting until I had a suggestion from another board. So I set it to "Automatic" instead, retested, and sure enough I'm...

AC68U on Frontier FIOs Lower UL/DL Speeds than MI424WR?

I've tried a number of different ways of connecting using the Actiontec. Changing the MAC address on the Asus to match the Actiontec. Double NAT (simply connecting my Asus WAN port to a LAN port on the ActionTec). Setting up the NAT as a network bridge. Putting the Asus into the Actiontec's...

AC68U on Frontier FIOs Lower UL/DL Speeds than MI424WR?

We don't have gigabyte out here yet, but the ONT was setup with ethernet and not coax because I only pay for internet service and have no intention of getting TV. The ethernet cable itself is the same when I switch between the two routers so I don't think there's any problems there (he said...

AC68U on Frontier FIOs Lower UL/DL Speeds than MI424WR?

No, it was something they sent me a while ago that I shelved in case, well, in case something like this happened I suppose. At least I see that it's easy to change the MAC on the Asus.

AC68U on Frontier FIOs Lower UL/DL Speeds than MI424WR?

Well, in my case I've been using the Asus for so long I would have though it would be in their system, so to speak.

AC68U on Frontier FIOs Lower UL/DL Speeds than MI424WR?

That seems easy enough, I can give that a try. It does make me wonder though if there's something I could ask Frontier to get them to update the MAC in their system.

AC68U on Frontier FIOs Lower UL/DL Speeds than MI424WR?

I've been running our home network for several years on an AC68U and I've really enjoyed it. I have several wireless devices, but my primary system, and the system I'm doing my investigating with, is wired directly to the router. My service from the ONT is Ethernet. Recently, I had to upgrade...

Can't Establish Connection from Device to Outside World

What's strange is that eventually I can access the config pages. As it happened, about an hour after I posted this I was able to access them. There doesn't seem to be a rational reason why I couldn't earlier because they work just fine once I'm able to get into them. I do have the IP set to...

Can't Establish Connection from Device to Outside World

I will say one thing is still odd. Even though it's connected and transmitting data I can't seem to access the configuration pages for it. When I enter the HauteWind's IP address it comes back as unavailable in the browser. This isn't typically necessary, but it does limit the ease of...

Can't Establish Connection from Device to Outside World

I finally noticed that the I had put in my username where a Station ID should go in the configuration. The Station ID is given by the various weather sites when you go online and that's what you use to transmit data to. There's a secondary user ID that you then use to access the site itself...

Can't Establish Connection from Device to Outside World

I think I may have sorted out and the issue and it had nothing to do with the router. Preparing to hang my head in shame in 3...2...1...

Can't Establish Connection from Device to Outside World

I have to admit to being a little wary of enabling the ability to Ping the router since the old one didn't require that. I'll give it try if only briefly. I'm on Fiber so I don't have a modem exactly. There is the equipment that transfers the fiber data to CAT5, but that hasn't changed nor do I...

Can't Establish Connection from Device to Outside World

I'm struggling to get a small internet appliance connected via my new RT-AC68U. The device is a simple Linux-based system that takes data from a weather station and relays that information to various weather sites on the Internet. With my previous router, I simply plugged the device in and it...
