Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Done all this too. Powered all off for a good hour if not more, while I made and ate dinner, then powered thr modem back on first, waited a good 10-15 minutes afterwards then powered on the router, then 15 minutes or so later the PC. Same results. The past day of testing has all been with the...

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

I have done that. With both stock and Merlin firmware. Reset (factory) as new with zero configuration done, same results on lan speeds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Cable (Spectrum/Time Warner) gigabyte (not fiber). Get 940 down and 45-52 more or less normally. Since covid 19 in the past month speed has gone down due to more saturation in my area. I now get upwards of 600 sometimes more wired with the AC88U and 45-50 down. With all three of the AX routers I...

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

They are 1gb ports and connection shows at 1gb in network connections in Windows 10. Fast.com varies from 220-285 never any higher. Also did dslreports speed tests and they all never go above 275-280 with the AX routers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

AX88U is on Version 3.0.0.4.384.8018 which is the latest. The version of Merlin I tried was whatever the latest is, as it was late last night I tried it. Don’t have a switch to test with but don’t think it would make any difference. Same PC I have been using for a few years, only change has been...

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

I get my speeds just fine with the AC router (again not my full gig due to more saturation on the node with Spectrum) the AX ones all max out at 300 and the AC goes well beyond that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Reread my post - I have (and almost always do, as web tests seem to struggle) use the speedtest app, it has always been far more accurate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Speedtest.net website with chrome, firefox, internet explorer and edge. Also the speedtest.net app in Windows 10. I have (had pre covid, as my speeds have went down due to more people using the internet) no issues getting 940 down and mid to high 40’s (I have Spectrum so I have crap upload...

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Right, thats more or less what I did first time around, and then figured it would be a good idea to try from a blank slate, sadly it didn’t make a difference. [emoji3491][emoji375] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks, I figured maybe they were somewhat closer than the other two I had tried. [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

I didn’t clone anything. I set cloudflare for dns for ipv4 and ipv6 and added three urls to the blocklist that keep my tivo from playing pre roll ads. Only other thing was port forwarding for three things. There was no cloning or otherwise. Also I used the latest firmwares from ASUS with zero...

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Not sure I imagine the AX88U is the same chipset as AC88U since they are near identical short of one being AX/Wifi 6 and the other not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Qos never been on firmware at latest also tried Merlin no change. Most of the posts I have found have been on these forums but none of the other suggested things to try have fixed (sshing into router and making sure two things were enable that were not that i enabled and made no change, changed...

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Tried that as well as trying different ip4 and ipv6 dns servers but all is setup the same on the AC router and not getting the same bottleneck on LAN. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Just the more basic I guess of setup. All I really ever change is the DNS servers for IP4 and IPv6 and setup port forwarding for the few things I need it for. I' more used to ASUS routers, so that's why I've kept it in the ASUS family so to speak. All three were configured (as best I can tell)...

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Direct to modem (right now with everyone using their internet, I get 500-600 down and 44-50 up, a month ago, pre-covid I was getting 940 down 44-50 up) this is both direct to modem, and/or through my RT-AC88U. All three of the AX routers I've tried give me awful speeds via LAN/direct connect...

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

I have Gigabyte internet with Spectrum and was looking to get a new router (I currently have an ASUS RT-AC88U and it's worked great, but I won a Best Buy gift card last year and haven't been able to find anything to buy with it.. anyhow, I have tried the following ASUS WiFi 6 routers, and...
