I have overkill of ASUS routers but would like advice.

If you have the ax11000 and a 89x to play around with, you thought of running the 89x in dual wan load balancing, then run your other routers as AP's, aimesh, media bridges etc? The system should then automatically utilize both connections as needed.

    GT-AX11000 vs RT-AX89X

Tri-Band Vs Dual Band 2.5gb ethernet Vs 10gb ethernet They're realistically the main differences. Depends if you find the 3rd band more useful than a 10gb ethernet connection. In my case I do as I use it for aimesh and like having my ax devices on their own band.

    GT-AX11000 issues

No probs, guess a quicker test, tried plex on your ps4? Is same result, then likely a networking issue, if not, then the samsung plex client is still a bit rubbish :) (I haven't had a samsung tv for a long time so don't know how good plex is on it.)

    GT-AX11000 issues

Sounds more like a plex issue with your client that isn't picking up the correct formats fast enough. What client are you using for plex and what model is your synology? Does it do the same if your setup the synology's media station app and put the media station app on your client?

    GT-AX11000 issues

My setup is: GT-AX11000 - Qnap connected via Ethernet port 1&2 setup with LACP load balancing, PS4 Pro, HD HomeRunTV Tuner, Philips Hue Bridge RT-AX92U Node 1 - Sony TV, PS4 Pro, Shield TV Pro, Sony Blu-Ray all connected to the nodes lan ports. RT-AX92U Node 2 - Sony TV, Shield TV Pro...

    GT-AX11000 issues

2 things usually cause this: 1: 5ghz-2 is a dfs channel, so ocasionally it will be forced to stop broadcasting on it until the radar/weather scan in the area clears up. Not much can be done about that. It recovers back onto 5ghz automatically after 10 minutes if all is clear on those channels...

    RT-AX92u Slow WiFi

Cool, I can see them Yeah, if you copy my settings from my thread, then can tweak to optimise for an rt-ax92u specific settings later, ie 5ghz-1 is only AC, so my settings won't fully apply to it, but should get you in the ballpark.

    RT-AX92u Slow WiFi

Pics not loading. If it helps, this post has my settings that I use on my various customer sites ax88u, 92u's and my own ax11000. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/rog-rapture-gt-ax11000-experiences-discussion.50396/page-16#post-543327 Pretty much similar settings for the 2.4ghz band, except...

    RT-AX92u Slow WiFi

Might be worth posting screenshots of your WiFi settings, the basic and advanced pages. Can make suggestions from there. For example if the width is set to 20/40/80/160 , the routers always default to 20mhz which gives me horrific throughput.

    Question about latency and QOS

That'll explain it. QoS never did much for me either when my VDSL was 22mb down and had 1mb upload. The QoS on Asus devices doesn't scale down very well at all for low numbers, which is where it's essential. It works, but just doesn't handle traffic spikes anywhere near fast enough to kick in...

    Question about latency and QOS

what bandwidth does your internet provide? If your ping increase that much then it's overloading the connection which would imply that you have the bandwidth set too high for your connection. General rule of thumb set your limits to 15-20% less than your overall bandwidth to see any benefit.

Set up USB Samba and Download Master in AiNode

Can't be done when it is in aimesh mode. If I recall, it can be enabled when setup in AP mode.

Asus Zenwifi xt8 is this a bad product with unrealistic expecations?

If going for a wired backhaul, then dual band is happy days, best of both worlds. Lower cost for the devices and a solid link between the nodes :)

    ax11000 or ax88u or ax89x

I've found the latest firmware to be rock solid. A few users reported issues on the last couple of firmwares, not heard anything bad about this one. (I've not found any issues in terms of stability)

    ax11000 or ax88u or ax89x

Well, you've summed the routers up quite decently. I find the tri-band to be the most flexible. 89x is cool, but I can't see me upgrading my Nas to 10gb anytime soon as as I don't feel like upgrading to ssd's in a new for a speed boost. Ax88 probably the best choice if cost, 8 ethernet ports...

Asus Zenwifi xt8 is this a bad product with unrealistic expecations?

Esh networking in general is fine via WiFi when ethernet isn't an option. if doing it, Tri band mesh is the way to go as you will end up with dedicated wireless backhaul. Where a lot of speed issues occur are when users run it on a dual band network and are surprised to see a general drop in...

Need help determining what to get

1 - While working in mesh mode it does use 5ghz-2 as a dedicated backhaul yes, but you can unhide and use it for other clients too. 2 - GT-AX1100 - I currently use this in conjunction with 2 RT-AX92u's in AiMesh Mode Here's a screenshot of the linkrates you can expect from all 3 devices: Note...

    RT-AX89X

That's cool. I've never had a better link than 866mb without it when connecting to ax routers though.

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Thanks for the info. From that info: Make sure energy efficient ethernet is disabled on the ethernet adaptor. Is windows 10 (I assume it's windows 10) on the latest build/ patched and fully up to date as recently as march Microsoft pushed out windows patches that broke networking in a big...

Solved Wired speeds slow with three different ASUS WiFi 6 routers, any fixes?

Few tests then assuming the following is correct: DNS is set the same on both routers, MTU is the same? 1: Ping to google via cmd. Should get the same results from both routers. 2: Tracert to google. Should yield the same results with similar results of pings and number of hops.
