    In the intel driver, enable uapsd. DFS & 160mhz width doesn't work correctly on my 9260 or ax200 cards without it.

    Yeah, adding IP reservations is a pain in the bottom. I found it's alright if you add all of them in one go from the dhcp page, then apply, saves rebooting everytime. But that's assuming you have a nice list already of your mac addresses.

    Are you using aimesh? If so, then the ssid needs unhiding. I did that via the app on my phone. If not, what clients are you using, are they able to use dfs channels / channels beyond the usual 36-48? A lot of earlier 5ghz cards could use anything but 36-48 and a lot of products like amazons...

    Similar reason the RT-AC88u was slower than the RT-AC86u. It was released before it. Also, going from the model numbers, would it not imply that the new AX89x is the new top of the line dual band model? :)

    I haven't used smart connect since I had a rt-ac3200. Found it worked great for getting a connection, but devices tenders to prefer sticking to 2.4ghz and tweaking the rules was a pain, so just split them out to separate ssid's nowadays. 2.4 for smart devices like doorbell, Alexa Nd Google...

    Your wifi analyzer app support showing 160mhz? most of the apps only show 80mhz unless recently updated to newer versions of the software: Givee WinFi Lite a go. https://www.helge-keck.com/download.html see if it shows. / what data rate is your wifi card showing in windows?

    Have tested it on a customer rt-ax88u, my own gt-ax1100 and rt-ax92u. I know not identical models. But channel 40 seems to do the trick on the lower band of 5ghz.

    I'm in the uk, but on all the ax routers so far I've found channel 40 and 100 are the magic channels that seem to allow for 160mhz width on the routers.

    Rt-ax92u is the most obvious choice. 3rd band for aimesh link and other ax devices and other 2 for other WiFi clients working great for me over past few months.

    If you use the asus app on android / iphone, click on the node, what signal strength is it giving, 9/10 it will lose sync when the signal strength is less than 60db (ie, higher number closer to 100db) I've found. 45-50db is optimal.

    don't know of any ssh command to output useful info like that, but I know the webui will show you as will the mobile app. List of useful ssh commands would be an awesome post from someone to be fair.

    Asus RT AX92u /ISP connection issues

    tried changing the ethernet cable that is going into the wan port? It's showing an actual physical disconnect, the cables knacked or the isp modem is likely rebooting itself. Got any spare modems lying around the house to test with?
