[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

I'd also hazard a guess that the flagship models get slower releases as they try not to release untested versions for their flagship devices. (Not that the firmwares that do get released are perfect...)

Intel AX200 and RT-AX88U only 1.2 Gbps link speed

Use the last version of the driver, 25 something. Version 26 runs rubbish on both my AC9260 160mhz and ax200 cards. Get the full rate on on the older driver. Also, make sure 160mhz is enabled on the router. One driver tweak, the ax200 and ac cards run faster with UAPSD enabled in the driver...

not me, only got 2 laptops with intal ax200's and a rt-ax92u in aimesh mode connected. transfers from my qnap usin 2.5gb ethernet is amazing. way better than my pc copying over 1gb ethernet.

    Asus Aimesh any good?

I find aimesh pretty awesome to be honest, but my 2 nodes connect between 40-50db.

Yes though force it to 160mhz, then it needs a power off and back on.

Well, further testing... Enable 160mhz on 5g2, set 5g1 to 80mhz and it magically works. Just stupid it can't function on both bands simultaneously.

Ah OK. Thanks for the info. I can see it shows those channels as passive.

Possible, though I have a unifi nano hd sat on that frequency at this very second.

I personally don't mind that the ROG line isn't supported, sure it misses some of the nice features that you add in (Static IP allocation and editing said entries comes to mind as the big one for me) as I've noticed that they tend to impliment the vast majority of your fixes over time into the...

I've noticed that there's a small thread on the asus ROG forum about it, so hopefully they'll look into it. :)

No probs :) The 2nd one looks to be on UNII-2. Don't get wrong, it's very much a 1st world problem but just surprised it doesn't support the rates that gui offers.

[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

That's what got me wondering though. In the UK/Europe, there are 2 160mhz bands available. Channel 36-64 followed by 100-128. Using a unifi AP as an alternative for testing, both those bands are available on 160mhz. So going from that, was just wondering if anyone elsewhere in the world has...

[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

Had my GT-AX1100 a few days now, just wondering if this is right for the UK? 5ghz 1 - sits at 160mhz happily 5ghz 2 - even forced to 160mhz, will only push 80mhz. I'd assume I could put both into 160? Also, if I select a channel (even one that works fine when auto is used..) on 5ghz 2, it...

Buying Advice - Unify Start up

Ok so. Run the controller on your server. Or you can buy a CloudKey controller if you wish. A USG Gateway and however many access points you want really. NanoHD AP's are the most popular in terms of cost/performance. They come with a PoE injector when buying the AP's in a single pack, so should...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 is now available

If it's anything like my ISP Zen. When my contract auto renewed ipv6 got disabled by them accidentally. They had to re enable it on my account. Ipv6 working fine on this firmware for me. Using RT-Ac88u

    FAQ(?): Recommended devices?

At those prices, I'd opt for the RT-AC86u, I've found mesh mode on anything that isn't a Tri-Band router or using a wired backhaul to be pretty useless in terms of speed. at 185, saving a fair bit of cash and getting the newest generation of router model in terms of AC models.

    FAQ(?): Recommended devices?

RT-AC68u - Budget option. Works fine for most users. RT-AC86u - Newer generation, mid level, fast CPU, decent WiFi. Curent sweet spot for most users. RT-AC88u - 8 1GB ethernet ports. Awesome WiFi signal. My current router. Slightly better wifi and 8 lan ports, though the cpu is slower than the...

AiProtection issues: No alert by e-mail message, invalid link to TTI

When setting up the email notications, skip typing out the @gmail.com just use the first bit of the email adress, it'll work after that and display correctly. Can't help with the 2nd part.

    Static Routes

You need to use a nat-start script to do this properly: Script should look something like this (How I do mine) #!/bin/sh # # to restore this configuration, it needs to be saved to /jffs/scripts/nat-start # on the router. # Wan - Draytek Config Page ifconfig eth0:0 192.168.2.2 netmask 255.255.255.0

Dual WAN differences on 382 vs 380 or even 384?

Thanks. We'll, it's helped me decide to save £45 a month by cancelling one of the lines. :) Seems across every vendor load balancing is always going to be a bit funky unless manually routing vlans or devices, which other than ensuring traffic management, doesn't help a great deal in my...
