Will do! Is the command just ack-filter?

    CakeQOS CakeQoS Help

For ack-filter, would I need it for just upload or both?

Alright, I'll give that a try. Thanks

Also, what would be the recommended speeds to use ack-filter? I can try it on the upload side as you said.

    CakeQOS CakeQoS Help

No issues so far. What I did is I put the router in DMZ so that all ports are accessible to the router. I then have UPnP on the router. I get open Nat.

What would you recommend? This is all new to me so... Should I use DOCSIS? That's what my current gateway uses. I figured I would put ethernet since no one uses wifi with this router.

500/20, although this is a second router for us, so only gaming devices are connected to it (yes I'm aware I'm double NAT). Absolutely willing to sacrifice speed if it means for better latency. Going to test with the other settings as well.

    CakeQOS CakeQoS Help

Hey everyone, https://www.man7.org/linux/man-pages/man8/tc-cake.8.html#OVERHEAD_COMPENSATION_PARAMETERS I see this link for tweaking to CakeQoS. Few things I want to do. I want to have an ack-filter, I also want to change the overhead parameters to ethernet (this router is never used for...

    DNS Server Issue

Ah okay. I get it now. So if I set the manual DNS servers in the WAN settings, the proxy is then communicating to those servers?

    DNS Server Issue

I see you just edited your comment. I'm using Merlin firmware, latest version. I've heard a lot of about DNS servers helping improve latency and what not, and I used DNSBenchmark as a reference. My router IP address is always the #1 on that list (192.168.50.1) but I'm not quite sure what...

    DNS Server Issue

This is all new to me so I somewhat get what you're saying? The thing is, on my old router, I can do the same thing (it was a TPLink, not a gaming router.) I could go into WAN settings, change DNS settings and when I did ipconfig /all, it actually changed the DNS servers to the one I have set...

    DNS Server Issue

Hello, I'm having some issues with DNS servers right now. I want to change the DNS servers on my Asus Rog GT AC2900. I go into my WAN settings, set DNS servers to manual and use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 When I go on my PC and type ipconfig /all, my DNS server is showing up as my Routers login...

    Network Ping Graph

Just trying to see network performance on a day to day usage. Nothing too specific. Any recommendations? Should I ping my IP address?

    Network Ping Graph

Question, what should I be pinging exactly? My IP address? Because right now it's ping 8.8.8.8

    Network Ping Graph

Hello, Does anyone know if an add-on for the Merlin Firmware that shows the network Ping? The stock firmware on my ASUS ROG GT AC2900 had it, not sure if Merlin does.

    CakeQoS Questions

My speeds are 500 up and 20 down. I'm currently double nat though. To get around that, I logged into my gateway and put the gaming router into DMZ. From the Gaming router, I opened whatever ports I needed for gaming. I'm unable to put my modem into bridge mode with the current set up I have...
