    aiprotection & dual wan

I thought that would be the case, and thanks for all the hard work you put in on Merlin... Been running it on my last 3 routers. Its the main reason I was looking to see if any other Asus routers supported aiprotection with a load balanced dual wan setup? If not, does anyone know of any similar...

    aiprotection & dual wan

Hiya, Just wondering if any of the asus router line allow for both dual wan in load balance mode with aiprotection enabled? I have a RT-AC86U that I'm very happy with running merlins firmware apart from not being able to use aiprotection while load balancing (I assign devices specifically to...

Dual WAN - See per device bandwidth

Hiya, Running with dual wan atm on an AC86u with 4G and a wired connection split per device. Is there any way to see bandwidth usage per device so I can see what is hogging one of the connections? Sadly can't turn on QOS and the traffic analyzer doesn't appear to show an option for per device...

    RT-AC86U and dual wan

I ended up following this link, seems to work well. https://thomascoward.co.uk/networks/asus-dual-wan-issue-solutions-webpages-assets-failing-load/

    RT-AC86U and dual wan

As wired internet is so rubbish here, I've gone the way of a 4g router to compliment my VDSL line. I had them in a dual wan load balance setup, but this made quite a few sites and services a bit unhappy so I've dropped it back to a fail over setup. Ideally what I'd like now is to have a...

    New AC86U - Bad PEB, a problem?

I'll try that later too... pretty sure that flash chip has a bad block though on my router. From my understanding, bad blocks can happen during the manufacturing process and isn't a sign that the chip itself is going to fail sooner? Guessing most manufacturers have tolerances for this kind of...

    New AC86U - Bad PEB, a problem?

Interesting. Not sure if it only logs it on reboot. Searching the logs for "bad pebs:" I get: May 5 06:05:05 kernel: ubi0: good PEBs: 724, bad PEBs: 1, corrupted PEBs: 0 May 5 06:05:05 kernel: ubi1: good PEBs: 64, bad PEBs: 0, corrupted PEBs: 0 May 5 06:05:05 kernel: ubi1: good PEBs: 64, bad...

    New AC86U - Bad PEB, a problem?

I think there are two different chips or partitions... one has 64 peb's with 4 reserved for errors (ubi1) and the one I listed (ubi0) has 725 normally with 15 in reserve... mine being on 724/14 now.

    New AC86U - Bad PEB, a problem?

I've just been playing with my new AC86U, everything seems to be working okay but noticed in the logs it reports a bad physical erase block: May 5 06:05:05 kernel: ubi0: good PEBs: 724, bad PEBs: 1, corrupted PEBs: 0 Earlier log entries on reboot have been fine. Is this something to worry about?

New. Just installed Voxel SF-KF r7800 - any tips greatly appreciated.

On my new 7800 I had the same with it saying it was up to date when it wasn't. Nice introduction to bugs on this router

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

That's fine, just wanted to check as I thought I saw it after flashing but before the factory reset. Really appreciate your work on this firmware

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Sorry if this is a simple question thats been covered, but after flashing this on my AC66U my network map page doesn't have a CPU usage graph. In fact, it only has the two wireless setting tabs under status. Is this normal? Any way to get it back or is a feature of the newer/merlin firmware? :)

R7800, Is the VPN service "safe" to use?

Been thinking of trying out voxels build, especially as it looks like the stock service doesn't allow you to change the keys even with a reset. That just seems completely reckless. I noticed in the readme for voxel the builds support swapping the keys, hopefully for a 2048 key over the 1024 bit...

R7800, Is the VPN service "safe" to use?

I was just curious, as I know nothing about netgears implementation. Concerned there may be a known/previous weakness there before i expose my home network through its vpn feature :) I was toying with using a raspberry pi as an openvpn box, but if netgears one is considered secure then it'd...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I have an original AC66u I think, not sure on the exact revision as I can't see any sticker indicating which it is. In the web interface, I can only see 1 core though. I noticed in the upgrade matrix that the AC66U_B1 is supported, but guessing that means my older one isn't? Unless the AC66...

RT-AC3200 JFFS not formatting on reboot

So i've done a bit more playing around. I've had it format once, but then it won't again.
