Unable to access internet over openvpn connection on a personal server... please help

Changing my lan subnet was trivial and I did it. Eabled ip routing on the windows pc, added static route on my router from the open vpn subnet to the openvpn server PC, pushed route 10.93.69.0 (new lan subnet) in the server config, but still no luck. Could only ping the server pc only. Nothing...

Unable to access internet over openvpn connection on a personal server... please help

Hi, I am at my wits end setting up an open vpn server on my PC. I was running it on my n66u but the speeds it provides leaves much to be desired so I decided to set it up on a separate PC I had lying around. I have done most things and clients successfully connect to the server, however, as...

Well enabling tls crypt led to the following error every damn time: tls-crypt unwrap error: packet too short TLS Error: tls-crypt unwrapping failed from Fatal TLS error (check_tls_errors_co), restarting Couldn't really find anything helpful for these errors, if you have an idea about them...

Thanks for the recommendation, if I enable the encrypt channel option in extra HMAC auth (which I assume is tls-crypt), will it offer the same benefits?

@john9527 John, would changing the default openvpn port help with these sort of attacks?

I used to be the same but the present software scenario is not the least bit static and for good reason. :) Updates should be part and parcel of every internet facing device. John's fork has shown consistent reliability and range anyways, specially with our older hardware so there's no real...

Well off the top of my head, security is one. Contains many fixes since v17, doesn't break anything else... why wouldn't one upgrade?

I tried again and service restart_ftpsamba does the trick. Yep I remember this dance from the failure to start the media server because of download master :) Sent u a pm.

@john9527 John I was trying again with the permissions method, disk2 again stopped but when I changed perssion for a folder on the disk which restarted the samba server, the disk showed up. Is there any way the samba server can be restarted after the router has done booting up? That should...

Btw when will you push out v23 stable? The beta has been rock solid apart from some 'weirdness' which u already helped resolve. Edit: Also, is there a shutdown command like the reboot one from ssh? :D

Oh well...I'll just make it a habit to reboot from software every time I switch it off which is already very rare. I already have UPS backup for the whole system which further ensures no unknown power losses so it will do just fine I guess and I will have to control my ocd with unclean fs...
