Firmware "Check Update" just spins and spins with no response

Same...just the spinning gif. Which to be fair, is just an animated gif, it would always spin. But what I would expect is a message in the gui that it had checked and found nothing, or a window popping up with new version details, like it used to.

Firmware "Check Update" just spins and spins with no response

So, the question remains...why the spinning gif and no update check?

Firmware "Check Update" just spins and spins with no response

Oh I guess it was ok, because if I replace the O (oh) with a 0 (zero) it returns "Malware"

Firmware "Check Update" just spins and spins with no response

Not sure if I have run this correctly (I just pasted `[ "$(nvram get apps_wget_timeout)" = "3O" ] && echo "Malware" || echo "OK"` at the command prompt when ssh-ing into my router) but it returned "OK"

I don't suppose anyone has yet found a solution for this? I just updated to the last firmware released a few days back and the problem persists.

Rechecked for /tmp/web_upgrade.log - this time file DID exist and contents were: ---- update real...

Firmware "Check Update" just spins and spins with no response

Is there some way to check what the correct nvram settings should be? Could that be the problem?

Firmware "Check Update" just spins and spins with no response

Hi I have searched the forums but not found anything mentioning this particular problem. I'm on AC68U, currently with firmware 384.17. For the past 2 or three versions of the firmware (about 2 months I guess) whenever I go to the Firmware Upgrade page and click the "Check" button, I just get a...

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

I THOUGHT I had completely trusted that cert, but upon closer examination I noticed that while it was indeed added to my system keychain, it was NOT fully trusted. Changing those settings has resolved my issue. Thanks!

When I run the Electron app, I will periodically get the following message which will freeze the app until a restart: There is a configuration issue with this Mattermost server, or someone is...

Seems like my OpenVPN server has been hacked

@RMerlin Do you think it might be good to simply not show these UNDEF records in the connected list (if that is something you have control over)? After all, the logs catch the bad attempts, and I think for most people it will be very confusing and panic inducing (as in my case)...
