    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

Right after installation before reboot, can you run these commands: /jffs/dnscrypt/manager dnscrypt-start pidof dnscrypt-proxy Then send me the output of these commands as well as any log from dnscrypt-proxy in WebUI System Log.

@Andy1932 which router do you have?

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

Update to 2.0.3 and using a new timezone data package that would make any entware running package having the correct timestamp as well. There's also a new check for configuration file in various places to make sure that dnscrypt-proxy toml config is functional.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

It's a weird use case. I'll consider it but don't hold your breath on it.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

Just uploaded the fix for time. The problem is the script is run by the router with TZ variable set under 384 branch (dunno about 382, but likely same). Also added monitoring watchdog for dnscrypt-proxy, so if it dies, it will be restarted. Basically the same thing as @Jack Yaz's crond job.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

Can you guys with time issue, send me the result of this command: nvram show|grep time_zone And also tell me the timezones you selected in this script and in your router UI.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@all Script updated to 2.0.2. I haven't tested it but it should work as long as the original binary works. Regarding time issue, nothing changed on my side. It's not a problem on Frank's side as well. Might be a problem with my zoneinfo.zip from Go package. Maybe you guys can check this for...

    AC86U SMB Tweaking

I can confirm this improves my AC56U SMB speed by 10 to 20% as well.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@M@rco I finally gave up from parsing toml file from shell. Can be done but it would be taking too much time and not really fun. Instead there's an option to keep previous settings file which should be okay considering dnscrypt-proxy 2.0.0 has been finalized, there likely won't be any major...

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@Ashish Gupta should be fixed. You can try again.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

Please copy paste and use code block to include the log, I can't see much at all. Anyway still see the error when you select no for OpenDNS account, that's fixed. @Goobi: I don't use OpenDNS content filtering so I can only give you an educated answer which is a yes. You need to select cisco DNS...

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@all the stable script has been updated to latest dev version, including MIPSEL (does not work for testing only) and improvement to the migration procedure. It's now able to migrate everything in the toml files including any change you made to the non global setting parts from query_logs to end...

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

Also there's dnscrypt-proxy -list-all -json if you want to parse from json and dnscrypt-proxy 2.0.0 is already on the router.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@john9527 I read the original article Frank linked to about the issue with AC66U and Go, quite interesting. So to support your effort to backport and make it easier for people to test your patched firmware, I have added back MIPSEL support in my script for dev branch (use the correct tar this...

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@all: As I have upgraded my router firmware to 384.3beta2, I was able to find the problem with DNS leaking. Fixed for good now :).

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@john9527 I have a question for you regarding version 2 of dnscrypt-proxy. Will you try to integrate it into your firmware? I think it would be hard considering its size and difference. @all Just updated with ability to set load balancing mode as well as ability to migrate old settings when...

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@dcguru Looks like your router is SOL, erh I meant EOL then. Not much I can do about this but as there's confirmation I will be disabling MIPS support in my script, unfortunately. I'm also contemplating lately whether to upgrade my AC56U (as ASUS seem to stick it on 382 even though it...

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

As said not a clue, please check back on this thread. I remember another ran it successfully on his MIPS router with dnscrypt-proxy beta at the time. Find that version, and try to run it. If successful go try newer versions, one by one, until you fail. Report the finding to Frank.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@people with MIPSEL router. I do believe it works before on some older versions as well so you need to be able to try the old versions out and tell Frank, maybe he can do something. You might want to read back on this thread as people did report it works before. Unfortunately, I only have an...

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@underdose Looks like something is wrong with the binary then. I can't do much with v1 anymore as that's legacy now. For version 2, if by running: /jffs/dnscrypt/dnscrypt-proxy -config /jffs/dnscrypt/dnscrypt-proxy.toml pidof dnscrypt-proxy you don't see any number returned then it's a binary...
