    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

As I'm having problem with MIPS based router, for now the script switches to use entware-ng dnscrypt-proxy binaries. I don't think that's required because there's nothing to config there at least from my setup used here in the script.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

Done, I've just reworked the 2nd DNS to universal instead of just allowing IPv6 there. It's up to user to choose which one is which. More flexible then. If IPv6 setup still needs other special attentions, please do tell and if possible I will implement it when I'm free.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

Sorry for this, I mistook one of variable in installer script. Fixed it installer script now https://github.com/thuantran/dnscrypt-asuswrt-installer/commit/83ff72538ff1bb437b97ef0a52d5f6b5ae7ee72b, so it should work for you right off the bat now, e.g. from clean /jffs. @Rodger_88 and @RacerRon...

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@RacerRon Send me the permission on wan-start with: ls-l /jffs/scripts/wan-start # please insert a space between ls and -l, this forum SQL injection checking sucks and its content with: cat /jffs/scripts/wan-start It looks like there's a bug in the firmware if all are correct now.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

    This script will start dnscrypt-proxy in two states: 1. Before ntp update, started with this command: /jffs/dnscrypt/dnscrypt-proxy --local-address=127.0.0.1:65053 --daemonize --loglevel=4 -L /jffs/dnscrypt/dnscrypt-resolvers.csv -R $DNS_RESOLVER -I # with -I being --ignore-timestamps to work...

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@thelonelycoder thanks for the suggestion. Added to the installer. @alexandro nope, it's not needed as we already have dnsmasq dns cache which is much better and configurable. That plugin is meant as an example and not something to replace dnsmasq or unbound or bind.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@Rodger_88 looks like it does not start for you, please check if you have "Enable JFFS custom scripts and configs" enabled in Administration -> System.

New version of dnscrypt-proxy 1.9.0 has been updated for this package.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@lev: No, because dnsmasq included with the firmware already has that function. Also opendns server or any other dns resolver will be slower than ISP resolver mostly because they're outside the ISP intranet. @Rodger_88 If you set those settings in LAN > DHCP Server > DNS, it will override...

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

@eclp As I wrote in the first post, please send me the tar of related files for forensic, as well as provide me information as requested. @David Swanson it supposes to work that way, dnscrypt installation will override your DNS settings in webui. @RacerRon: you can pm me all the information if...

I don't know as I don't use that service. Maybe you can try it out and tell us how it goes. Uninstall this script is trivial enough.

    DNScrypt dnscrypt installer for asuswrt

Just FYI, this seems to work fine with new test firmware 380.65_alpha1 so it's likely to work fine with its stable version. This is special because busybox was upgraded, and that binary this script depends a lot on.

[Test build] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 Busybox 1.25.1 test builds

Just tested with my script here http://www.snbforums.com/threads/release-dnscrypt-installer-for-asuswrt.36071/ , working correctly as far as I can tell and xargs is now available. Thanks for the update.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.64_2 is now available

Yes, if you can add xargs, it would make life of scripting coder a lot easier, tr and awk might be ok but they're simply not xargs for the right uses.

Honestly I dunno what that is, maybe someone can shed some light on that. I have that too and my config has been working normally from user's standpoint.

It's either network issue, date time issue or the specific server you chose having old info in dnscrypt-resolvers.csv file. You might try a different server.
