Should I Change From Router Mode to Something Else?

Hey Bennor, Sorry for the late answer I wasn't aware you had replied! Sorry could you help me understand exactly what am I looking for? Is it the IPv4 Gateway? The model of the ISP router says ONT DUAL BAND 9762v1, not sure if that's the correct answer. I appreciate you still trying to help me :D

Should I Change From Router Mode to Something Else?

As far as I know my router is in bridge mode: The ISP modem/router's LAN port is connected to Asus WAN port.

    Zero CPU Usage?

You are correct :) Thank you very much for taking the time to reply

confused about the 3 different DNS settings

Yeah, that's how I got it setup, the broadband's ISP "modem" is set to Bridge Mode and the Asus router is set to Wireless Router Mode. I suppose that part is covered then. I know it's silly but it's an old 2D MMORPG game that works on TCP and I have a lot more latency than I used to have a...

Should I Change From Router Mode to Something Else?

I got it that way, but it has double NAT, is that ok?

    Zero CPU Usage?

Gotcha. Yeah, sorry for the trouble, I thought it was possible since in this particular game, 100 ms is big deal haha I was just trying to optimize my settings since it looks like I have double NAT and whatnot. But yeah, I appreciate it, thank you!

confused about the 3 different DNS settings

Thank you, I thought I had bridge mode enabled on the Asus router. Is that under Media Bridge?

confused about the 3 different DNS settings

What would be Bridge Mode? This is My ISP modem settings under WAN (the red arrow says "Enable Bridge" in spanish):

confused about the 3 different DNS settings

I'm noticing more latency while than I used to have. I'm wondering if there's some settings that I could optimize to reduce this, like for example double NAT.

confused about the 3 different DNS settings

Hey thank you. Is it better to not have double NAT?

confused about the 3 different DNS settings

Thanks alot Crim. I will keep that in mind, no sharing WAN IP :) So this is what my ISP menu has on DNS and LAN IP: And this is on Asus router: DNS on Asus is set to automatic from ISP. Thanks !

confused about the 3 different DNS settings

Hey, yeah sorry I'm asking because I'm don't know much about this topic. I understand it might be frustrating to read such stupid questions, sorry about that. These are some pictures of what you mentioned. Asus is in bridge mode. WAN Settings on Asus router...

confused about the 3 different DNS settings

Gotcha, thanks haha, sorry for my ignorance :p

confused about the 3 different DNS settings

I'm so confused lol. The ISP "modem" has 2 DNSs, then my asus router has a different DNS, then my PC has a different DNS from all the others. Also the WAN and LAN IPs from ISP modem and Asus router are different, so I don't know if that could cause extra latency.

confused about the 3 different DNS settings

It's so confusing because my ISP "modem" has 2 DNSs, then my asus router has a different DNS, then my PC has a different DNS from all the others. Hahaha what a mess. Also the WAN and LAN IPs from ISP modem and Asus router are different. :'(

confused about the 3 different DNS settings

So should I not post pictures of how it's configured? Sorry I don't know if it's safe but I see some guys trying to help asking for pictures so I'm confused xD

    Zero CPU Usage?

I appreciate a lot you replying. I thought that low cpu on router could be causing some issues. I guess I will have to learn to play with more latency. I have tried a VPN and was worse. I am specifically playing a game that uses TCP so I've read that there's this thing called leatrix latency...

    Zero CPU Usage?

@ColinTaylor I've seen you're a boss here haha, do you have any idea on this?

confused about the 3 different DNS settings

Is it normal that my router has a different DNS than my PC? Is it better for them to be the same?

    Zero CPU Usage?

Sorry I forgot to put my router model is an RT-AX88U. MY internet has 250 Mbps download speed and I'm on my desktop so it's wired.
