[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Do you know what happens when you invert upload and download values...? The above :D Otherwise we talk about this: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/7514583 50mbit down doesn't help: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/7514632 Actually I got bufferbloat B when accidentally setting down to...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I am a bit lost after the update: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/7494739 I set Traditional QoS to 90% of my nominal speed, and dslreports seems to reach 120mbit like before, but drops at the end and reports a much lower download speed. Bufferbloat did not move from C, but that might be due...

actually taking latest and not using dnscrypt should be probably safe enough to play with qos but have both available, correct? :)

I'm going to try it. Is the beta mostly about QoS and if I'm unsatisfied the rest should be mostly like latest stable? :)

So what do we have available on N66U and what can we do about bufferbloat?

I did all of it, and still same issue. However in private windows it works, so it must be some leftover in normal Firefox. I deleted all history, cookies, and certificate exceptions with the router ip and asus domain name, but either the problem is not on those, or I am missing the one entry...

Using Linux :) I doubt /tmp has anything to do with that, but I'll consider your experience to have a look around beyond browser cache.

It was that indeed. I asked before trying because I already crossed my wife's tolerance threshold to downtimes today :p Now, next issues. 1 - For a long time now, I cannot access the admin site from Firefox. After I changed ip or port setting I started getting this message and no way to login...

Hi, recently I upgraded from 17 to 20E3. Before that I did a jffs save just in case. After upgrade, jffs was gone so I restored it and nothing appeared. So I upgraded to latest 20E9 and restored jffs, and still nothing (after reboot of course). Am I doing it wrong? For example I need to force a...

0 issues on N66U since using the fork, v17. Recently I needed to reboot because it lost Internet connection, so I decided to move on to latest v20. All good except now it happens very often that most pictures in emails won't load at first try. I need to reload gmail on the phone in order to see...

If you're not developing alone, a local repo is not the best. And if you don't want to pay, gitlab gives you private repos for free. It might be easier than an own setup, but beware of the gitlab (lack of) speed :)

What kind of control? If people can see it, they can clone/fork. If you mean a free private repo, then try gitlab.

Yes, I am on 17. And no, I won't be at home for a few weeks to try 18. I didn't plan to do it anytime soon, but if i can help, I'll try. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

As I mentioned before, I had the exact same issue going to merlin's 380.57 (before trying this fork). See here. One of the following builds worked properly again, so I cannot say what was the piece of code breaking it for me.

Is there anything at all in jffs? With some versions it didn't mount anymore for me.

all right, as expected the problem was in firefox, although ctrl+f5 or cleaning cache from the settings didn't help. the only way was to forget the site from history. i expected history to just care for, you know, history, not cache :) Also, I think I narrowed down the pages loading slowly or...

Hi John, I cannot vpn now so I cannot give you screenshots, but: - I use https://192.168.2.1:8443/ and the same address works on Chromium (copy/paste, no mistake) - In Firefox I get the 'IP address or port' has changed message, but only with the direct IP, which indeed should be the easiest...

N66U losing WAN after modem reboot

hi john, good news, i finally tried your fork and in the few experiments I did with modem reboot, the router got internet back all the times :) bad news (only for me), my provider still cannot understand my modem reboot problem, they cannot accept that a customer has any idea of what's going on...
