And this is/was the goal. Sorry @lilstone87 - when you were going through your stress, I did know where we were at with the mod, but was subtlety suggesting for patience at the time. A few days later hopefully you are smiling now. Trust me withOUT @dave14305 input, you would be dealing with an...

    CakeQOS CakeQoS-Merlin v2.0.0 alpha

Known Issues If you were running the 1.0.8 script, you need to stop cake-qos first in case of a conflict with ifb9eth0 and the firmware ifb4eth0. This is a subtle change to get in uniformity with the interface used by @RMerlin in the main firmware.

    CakeQOS CakeQOS-Merlin v1.0.8

Since this is really difficult to answer conclusively due to the variables of the interwebz involved, I would say give it a try and test it! We just notice speed degradation after a certain point. The key for the high speed users that might attract them to Cake is the latency/bloat that they may...

    CakeQOS CakeQOS-Merlin v1.0.8

Hi - not to discourage you, but with a little patience it is literally easy as cake. Since we are in beta testing mode for the built-in modules you have two options. 1. Rollback to the addon using non-beta firmware 2. If you choose the beta firmware have a look at the posts both @RMerlin and...

CakeQOS Version 1.0.8 When cake is Stopped (script opt 2) it re-enables itself after about 3 - 4 mins

Hi Don, I am running 1.0.8 with the latest Beta, and have mine set to stop and it never restarts (even after reboot). The auto-restart will only kick-in if you have Cake-QoS set to Start vs. Stop (like myself). Cheers

    Bufferbloat only on 2.4GHz

Might simply be congestion/interference on your 2.4 band. In general, I do my bufferbloat tests from a wired device for a more consistent result which also eliminates any wireless interference.

Is Ack-Filter on CakeQoS 386.2 Beta Possible?

You can - though manually at this point. I added/please review the Beta 386.2 release notes on howto. Merlin documented it quite well.I hope to have some testing done via script soon. See this post here.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 Beta is now available

Gotcha and thanks for clarifying. I am not experiencing this though. Curious if others are.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 Beta is now available

Shouldn't use both concurrently. If you use the mainline in the firmware, you can set the script to "Stop" (which is what I have done for now).

    spdMerlin The future of spdMerlin

@Jack Yaz - does the native speedtest require accepting anything on the Privacy tab like Ookla/Trend? If so, I vote to keep spdMerlin going for the privacy conscious.
