    Sorry. I have two RT-AC68Us. Did a factory reset when I loaded the Merlin firmware. Gave up and went back to the latest Asus Stock firmware and everything works great.

    Today, I purchased two RT-AC68U routers and upgraded both to Asus Merlin Ver 386.3_2. I setup one as an AIMesh Router, and the other one as an AIMesh Node. Tried everything, but couldn't get the Node to connect. See attached screen shot.

    Anything that does not work properly is a bug, regardless of whether or not the situation that causes the malfunction is unusual or not. The whole attraction of the Asus-Merlin firmware is the enhanced VPN support. That shouldn't be breaking the Guest Network functionality.

    I am running 5 sites interconnected with VPNs. Not changing the default LAN address is not an option.

    That is definitely the case in my tests. My router has the LAN interface set to 192.168.140.1. With that setting, the problem is 100% repeatable. I did not try it with the default LAN IP address.

    Looks like this might be the same bug reported earlier. I switched to using Guest Network 2 for both frequencies, and everything works as expected. Note: I am not running a Mesh Network (this is a standalone router). I have changed the LAN address to a custom address.
