Release ASUS RT-BE88U Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_33921

Are there any resources to show how the countdown timer for one time access to guest network is supposed to work? If I set up a time duration in the guest WiFi configuration, the countdown timer doesn't activate when I hit the enable button. I have to go into the configuration settings and hit...

Help with gnuton build for RT AX82 u

couple things: Gnuton's version only works with Version 1 of the HW. for this model router. If you are flashing from a windows system, make sure that the firmware file is not "blocked" (Right Click | Properties | General then look for "unblock" checkbox) these two things just off the top...

I just set up an RT-AX82U for a friend with ASUS FW 3.0.0.4.388_22525. After about 24Hrs, the same messages started. They are in groups of 3 every 5 minutes. I really hope your crash is not imenent. Is there any setting that might be tweaked to make this go away?

You fixed it! I enabled scrolling on putty and it told me what was wrong. My Inet is Really slow as I live way out in the countryside. so i was setting my upload speed to 10.5 mps. Well, it hates anything but whole numbers for upload and download speed. I made those entries whole numbers...

RTRMON RTRMON v1.6.9 -May 3, 2024- Monitor your Router's Health (New: AMTM, Network Conn/Bandwidth/Diag + Port Scanner + Speedtest) [NEW THREAD OPENED]

Not sure if this has been covered (Tried to search through this thread), but 2 things happen when i start this app. 1. The choices that I select never appear on screen. that is, if I select "m1" to start the monitor, the "m1" is never painted on the screen If I exit back to AMTM, then those...

VPN for rule for all traffic in MerlinVPN Director

That's not been my experience. without the Router WAN rule, nothing seems to get out to the internet.

VPN for rule for all traffic in MerlinVPN Director

I have the opposite situation. I want all traffic to go through WAN unless I have a rule that routes it through the VPN. So I set up my VPN client to use the VPN director. And I have rules to route specific devices through the VPN (that I can turn off and on when necessary). But, what rule...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5 is now available

Not that this has anything to do with the new firmware, but about 6 hours after upgrade, I started getting these kernel: jffs2: Error garbage collecting node at 00aaaf54! kernel: jffs2: Error garbage collecting node at 00aaaf54! kernel: jffs2: read_cache_page() returned error: -5 Rebooting...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

I am one of the people seeing the "potentially unexpected fatal signal 11." If I turn off pixel-tls, it goes away, but if I enable Pixel-tls and deactivate all the trend micro stuff in the AiProtection tabs, I *still* get this error. Is there some other trend micro stuff I need to turn off or...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

Thanks RMerlin. Just for completeness sake I'm posting the log entries I am getting in case you or someone can see something that would eventually allow Pixelsrv-tls. Jan 2 18:53:05 kernel: potentially unexpected fatal signal 11. Jan 2 18:53:05 kernel: CPU: 1 PID: 8553 Comm: dcd Tainted: P...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

I am also getting this error. Can I safely ignore it, or should I disable Trend or Diversion or both? Trying the ASUS Firmware followed by the latest Merlin did not solve this issue (as it did for another user on here)

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2_6 is now available

I had my IP6 settings all gunked up. After I fixed those, the error messages stopped.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2_6 is now available

I am actually getting this error with no guest network enabled. In the last FW, I got it when I used the Guest 1 networks (2.4 / 5 GH), but now even with all Guest Networks off, I still get this error many times per second. Enabling / disabling the Guest Network(s) seems to have no effect

    ntpMerlin ntpMerlin v3.x

good points. Might be a fun project to use and old router and add a thermal sensor on, or close to, the timing circuit and then repeat the experiment. Sounds like a fun summer project for the kids! :)

    ntpMerlin ntpMerlin v3.x

Some data after 12 hours of no fan. Temp: avg 62 C (~ 37 C with fan), Offset avg 2.9 ms (0.09 ms with fan), drift avg 8.46 ppm (4.4 ppm with fan) From that very limited data sample, it looks like NTP offset and drift get worse with CPU temp. Again, very little data and lots of possible...

    ntpMerlin ntpMerlin v3.x

Good test. Won't be able to do that immediately, but will do so in the next day or so for 12 - 24 hours and see what the results are. I'll report back when I get some data.

    ntpMerlin ntpMerlin v3.x

yes, I have a fan on mine as stated. Without the fan, the CPU temps are in the 55C range.

    ntpMerlin ntpMerlin v3.x

Just to chime in, I see that same "saw tooth" pattern in my graphs (in all three 30, 7, 1 day views). I have a fan on my AX88U and the CPU temp stays between 37C and 40C pretty constantly throughout the day (with router use, i.e. me staring at all the pretty graphs, being the factor that drives...
