[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.11 Beta is now available

Reboot Option not working..... Running 384.11 Beta 1 on Asus rt-ac86u router. After flashing to 384.11 Beta 1 the when I choose the Reboot Option at the top of the page (next to Logoff Option) the router shows the Please Wait % Applying Settings like it is rebooting then after that it returns...

Not able to access router login with MS EDGE

Now that you posted that, I do remember reading something about that. It's hard to keep up with all this stuff. However, I thought that the Internet Options in Control Panel were only for Internet Explorer and only effected Internet Explorer not Edge? But I could be wrong. I never had any...

Yes it did. I posted here what I did to fix the problem (a few messages up). Thanks....

Not able to access router login with MS EDGE

Yes, I believe 192.168.50.1 is the default address for the 86u. I changed mine to 192.168.1.1. That seems to be the default for most routers and easier to remember. Also, I have some stuff like network printer that had a 192.168.1.xx set when I had another router and didn't want to mess with...

Not able to access router login with MS EDGE

Yeah, not sure if the KB4483235 update needed to be installed to fix the problem or if just reinstalling KB4480116 fix the problem. Anyway, glad the fix worked for you. Hopefully it will continue to work.

Not able to access router login with MS EDGE

OK, seems it was that last Cumulative Update that screwed it up. Here is what I did to fix the problem: I uninstalled Cumulative Update KB4480116. Somehow in the process of uninstalling KB4480116 and rebooting, Windows downloaded and installed or reinstalled Update KB4483235. So after the...

Not able to access router login with MS EDGE

I already tried resetting Edge. Didn't fix problem. Was just mostly wanting to see if anyone else was having the same problem (not able to access router with Edge). Thanks....

Not able to access router login with MS EDGE

I kind of figure Edge or some Windows update is the problem. Was just mostly wanting to see if anyone else was having the same problem (not able to access router with Edge). Thanks....

Not able to access router login with MS EDGE

First let me say this probably has nothing to do with the router I have (ASUS RT-AC86U) or Merlin's firmware. I am only asking it here because there is a lot of people here that would probably know about this kind of thing and I probably will get a fast response. I can no longer access my...

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-merlin 384.4 Beta is now available

Anyone ever find out what: Mar 7 05:34:40 kernel: jffs2: warning: (30142) jffs2_sum_write_data: Not enough space for summary, padsize = -1025 in the General Log means? Thanks....

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-merlin 384.4 Beta is now available

This seems to have corrected itself. I rebooted the router and noticed that I was getting a lot of activity on the NIC card when system was idle. So I went back and disabled LAN - IPTV - Enable multicast routing (IGMP Proxy). Now it's almost no activity on NIC when idle. Strange....

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-merlin 384.4 Beta is now available

Can someone tell me what this entry in the General Log of RT-AC86U means: Mar 7 05:34:40 kernel: jffs2: warning: (30142) jffs2_sum_write_data: Not enough space for summary, padsize = -1025 Is it something to worry about and if so, is there something to correct it? Thanks

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-merlin 384.4 Beta is now available

RT-AC86U Router. On 384.4 Beta 2 the setting LAN - IPTV - Enable multicast routing (IGMP Proxy) seems to have become switched from 384.4 Beta 1. In other words, Enabled on 384.4 Beta 2 is what Disabled was on 384.4 Beta 1. I know this because on Beta 1 if I had Enable multicast routing (IGMP...

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-merlin 384.4 Beta is now available

This is ASUS RT-AC86U router with 384.4 Beat 1 firmware. If I go to Tools - SysInfo HW acceleration shows Runner: Enabled - Flow Cache: Enabled (this is with QoS off). Now if I click on Adaptive QoS (I just go there, don't turn anything on or off), then go back to Tools - SysInfo, it now shows...

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-merlin 384.4 Beta is now available

I have ASUS RT-AC87U. Flashed with 384.4 Beta 1 coming from 380.69_2 firmware. Did a full reset. On Network Map then Clients when I click View List or on the Client Status (on Right) anything that is connected to the 5GHz wireless is showing as a Wired Connection. If I view Wireless Log it shows...

[Test build] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 alpha builds

Well, I don't have the New firmware availability notification thing turned on. Guess that's why I am not seeing the "Administration - Firmware Upgrade>Scheduled new firmware check" you talked about. Maybe there will be a new build soon. Just kind of bugs me that that page isn't there. Thanks..

    [alpha] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.62 preview builds

Ok, but wouldn't it be better to show what lower or upper channel it is using instead of showing a l or u? Something like the Wireless 5 GHz log shows (mine now shows Channel: 157/80). Right now my Wireless 2.4 GHz log is showing it using channel 11 with no l or u after it. Thanks for the input....

    [alpha] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.62 preview builds

I noticed what may be a small cosmetic bug. It may have been present in earlier versions as well. Under System Log, then Wireless Log on the 2.4 GHz where it shows the Channel if it 6 it seems to have an extra character. Looks like 6l. I have a picture of it: Notice the Channel: 6l. Thanks.....
