    Questions WAN 10GB Fiber connection

nslookup Default Server: UnKnown Address: 192.168.2.2 (when I do the above, my internet connection works properly, and DNS is working despite saying "unknown") If/when I change the RAX200 to use the DNS (192.168.2.3), I get the DNS request timed out. timeout was 2 seconds. . Note: this is...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Hi, So I wasted more time redesigning my own network, and was able to change the DNS in my own router DHCP section. Immediately doing so, cut my connection to the internet... Here's the result from my win10 PC: >nslookup www.lequipe.fr Server: UnKnown Address: 192.168.2.2 DNS request timed...

    Questions WAN 10GB Fiber connection

Yes, the ISP is not willing to explain me (* also they are clearly unable to communicate on that topic). What is very weird is having a changed DNS from my LAN (on my 2nd router) is disconnecting me from the internet... This is what happens immediately after I change the DNS server from my own...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

I also don't like wasting time on that. In fact now it's more about understanding rather than changing the DNS; because we could always do a LAN with 2 routers... It's more about what they gave us, and how come we can't change DNS on our LAN section... That seems fishy to me and more worrying.

    Questions WAN 10GB Fiber connection

Thanks, 1) The thing is I manage to configure the router by changing DNS; bypassing the gui restrictions. But then I have no connection or intermittent connection. So it's a weird technology, or i should say, whatever I have is not behaving like usual. For example I don't see why changing the...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Hi, I almost made it o_O I tried to sneak the page using developer, and modifying the code. So far I was able to suppress the "disabled" settings. (I had to right click, Inspect, and then simply delete the disabled="disabled" property/value): Then I was able to do that for the radio button...

    Questions WAN 10GB Fiber connection

Hello, Around here in Switzerland, I just got fiber connection: "WAN Status: Rx:10Gbps Tx:10Gbps" The ISP started to tell me something weird, which start to raise some concerns. Basically on the ISP provider router (AX7501-B0), we can't even configure DNS now. The attempt of explanation...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Hi, thanks for joining us here! 1) I heard similar, but Sunrise should have updated their documentation then. Sunrise Doc for that Zyxel Especially when it's documented one can modify. Saying that, I'm curious about that 10G thing, from a technological point of view, where the local LAN would...

lol support@zyxel is not valid anymore, despite being given as the only way of support from zyxel.ch... They use a crappy worlwide platform now: https://support.zyxel.eu/. I have created a ticket.

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Well I emailed s Haha, they won't. Last time they did the same, it's over 1-2 year they have not answered. The last topic was setting the previous router (Sunrise internet box) in bridge mode. Their motto is they don't provide device support, and here and then they pretend they will contact you...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Well, that is exactly what I did, (it says "mypassword")... Maybe I'm not doing it on the right place? After more reading, it seems the person on galaxus/digitec gave bad information, this commands are specifically for "router firmware used by (Sagemcom)F@ast Version 3.43.2". I doubt it will...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Is it the command about "var x = $ .xmo;"? It seems to be for voip, no? I'll have a look tomorrow. Edit: I did this in Chrome Developer console: var x = $ .xmo; $ .xmo.init (); $ .xmo.login ("admin", "mypassword"); $ .xmo.getValuesTree ('Device') It returns: VM204:2 Uncaught TypeError...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

By the way, I have issues with " AX7501-B0 Firmware Version: V5.15(ABWW.2)C0". I'm harassing them on the phone now, since I did not have any answer since 03rd December 2021, it's now 14th December. So far 26 minutes waiting for the ISP support to pick up... I will update when/if they pick up...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Hi, Well, officially, for now they have not said DNS settings are locked. In fact, in previous "Sunrise Live internet Box", I was able to change DNS settings. Here there is also the option to do it but it does not work (the setting applied and visible is not taken into consideration). That looks...

    Trying to make InstantGuard work!

Hi, not sure if you use IKEV1 or V2, I read it might be easier with v2: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/how-to-manually-configure-ikev2-vpn-on-ios.68328/page-2#post-680937 It seems due to this log: " deleting half open IKE_SA " that some packet is lost. I read and it actually seems your...

    Router hacked and pc accessed

On your archer, you can set wireless security to WPA2-PSK: tp link A7 With a decent password (lenght + complexity), it would be very hard* to obtain your password (* hard as in long time or lot of cpu resources). Like someone else said, you need to find why you are hacked (which settings you had).

Quick update, I phoned them again (harassement is the only way ).That worked, they are listening and I had someone willing to help but discussing with a 3rd party team. We have started email exchange, with the information about the DNS related issues. In the meantime I did a lot of...

    Trying to make InstantGuard work!

Hi, I think I can explain some of it. In the picture from ASUS, note that the WAN ip is actually a local ip (from the root AP). That means it's using two routers, both having local ip addresses. In your case you are actually using a proper WAN ip, going to your router with a lan ip: My router...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Thanks for your interest and help, fully appreciated! Yes, indeed, the ISP customizing firmware/software is rather annoying. Especially here some features are not working well (bugs, 100% verified by myself), and some part of the documentation is incorrect (I saw they simply duplicated from...
