    How to change wired SSID

My laptop is plugged into one of the LAN ports. If I unplug this, it connects to the wifi network that I set up in Merlin. If I click on the internet icon in the system tray, it shows the SSID of the network I am connected to. If I am using wifi, the SSID that shows is "NewWifi". If I connect to...

    How to change wired SSID

I recently updated my AC68U to Merlin 386.1 beta4. When I did this I changed all my wireless SSID names. However, the wired connection stayed the same as before the upgrade and I cannot find where I am able to change it.

Can't get into AC68U after flash with Merlin

ipconfig reports the default gateway as 192.168.1.1. I did a hard reset, I think. I turned off the power, pushed the reset button and held it down while turning on the power. One thing I did not do was to turn off the modem first. I will try that and do the reset again.

Can't get into AC68U after flash with Merlin

I have an Asus RT-AC68U and I decided to flash Merlin 386.1 beta4. The process went as I expected. After the flash I was able to get into the router settings (192.168.1.1). I then exited and have not been able to get back in. It is very strange as I can connect to the internet on the 2.4 and 5...

app to limit bandwidth of guest network

I have a TP-Link AX1800, but there is nothing in their software. This was verified with a note to their support team. I guess I was hoping there was something like NetLimiter, except that won't do what I want either. Unless there is some software that is not widely known I may be out of luck.

app to limit bandwidth of guest network

I recently upgraded our router to cover a wider area, and that has worked great. However, I lost the ability to limit the guest network. Is there an app that I can use to set a different bandwidth for the guest network? I see several that can limit devices connected, but those will not work for us.

How to throttle my guest network

OzarkEdge, what model of Asus router did your screenshot come from? I looked at a few Asus routers and none had the feature you describe.

How to throttle my guest network

It looks like I have a QOS section, but it can control devices on the network, but not the guest network. EDIT: I have another thought, would this work? I have a static IP Modem. My new router is connected to the modem. Could I connect the old router to the modem in addition to the new one. I...

How to throttle my guest network

I just replaced an old router in our church. The old router had a setting that I could control the guest network so it had smaller bandwidth. This is helpful to us because we live stream and don't need to compete with people using wifi. I know I could change the password and not allow people on...

I bought the AX21 and set it up today. I know it's not the newest tech, but it seems to work really well for what we need. Thanks for all the help guys.

    Which router Both are TP-Link. AX1800 (Archer AX21) $100 or AC2600 (Archer A10) $110

Sorry, I was not very descriptive in my original post. Our building has a simple layout. It is 30 feet wide by 100 feet long. There is an office at one end that is probably 10 feet by 6 feet. This is where our current old router is located. The wifi signal must reach the far end of the whole...

    Which router Both are TP-Link. AX1800 (Archer AX21) $100 or AC2600 (Archer A10) $110

I am moving our router to the center of our building and am going to upgrade the router. Which one of these two will work best? Both are TP-Link. AX1800 (Archer AX21) $100 or AC2600 (Archer A10) $110
