    I reported the problem via Feedback in the router plus multiple support VIP tickets via Asus. No response to any. Anyway I just switched to Merlin's build which runs much better and includes more control so I am happy. Don't know why I didn't change any sooner :)

    That's a terrible design.. I do understand they have to limit the max power output to what the FCC says however they should still give the ability to either have it at that max allowed or turn the power output down to coexist with multiple other AP's. I need to be able to turn them down to 25%...

    Will I see an appreciable difference upgrading from N66U to AC68U?

    If you're going to upgrade to the AC68 I would suggest you upgrade to the AC68P model instead of U. It has the faster processor. You can pick them up refurbished at a good deal Amazon/Newegg/Ebay etc.

    The only issue I have noticed when changing any wireless settings the wireless turns off and wont turn back on. Even after running a reboot. You have to hard power cycle to have the wireless connection come back. Also the wireless both 2.4/5 seem a bit spottier than previous builds.

    Since both Merlin's and Asus are more than likely running the same version of OpenVPN why can't it work on Stock? I understand not everything in the GUI. Put I can plug in external drive to store a config. Just need to know how to command line the router to tell it to look there etc..
