    If that doesn't fix the issue then try firmware 1 step down which I'm using 376.45 and I haven't had 1 issue yet (If you have that option)

    Now check under LAN tab > Switch Control. I'm using a AC-68R, but should be simular. My settings are Enable Jumbo Frame - Enable NAT Acceleration - Enable Spanning-Tree Protocol - Disable I haven't figured out why these routers do it yet. Maybe try flashing a Merlin build and see if...

    What is the channel bandwidth you have set? I have mine set to channel 161 @ 80Mhz and my sisters iPad w/ Retina display works great

    Is QoS enabled? It's located under Traffic Manager, if so disable it and see if it fixes the issue

    Have you disabled 5Ghz radio to check if that was the issue? Do you need the 5Ghz radio on for your computer/phone? The only thing I've noticed with 5Ghz was having more bandwidth avaiable when streaming... and that would be for 20Mbit/s+ files. 2.4Ghz will work perfectly fine for any other type...

    QoS should be off my default or switched off for diagnostics purpose. have you done a hard reset on the router yet?

    Question I know you wanna use OpenVPN via the router, but would you consider using the client on your PC? I was considering using OpenVPN on my router also, but there is only certain things I need to use the VPN on so I just run client side via my PC

    That's weird, not using IPv6. 5Ghz is only supported on a 2 devices so I just fully disabled it. That's weird. I found this thread and I did disable Cloud Sync, Smart Sync, STP, modified Beacon and DTM interval.. It has gotten a bit better. May try out disabling UPnP if the wakelocks don't...

    Regarding RT-68R External Hard Drive

    I'll try that out, could be the horrible shielding of my external. No issues with the USB 2.0 connection. EDIT: DLNA was the issue with the sharing issue. Any reason why it would do that? I was able to map out the drive... but I wanna be able to MAP the whole hard drive, not just the folder?
