[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post? I had some issues with 9.0.0.4_382_18943 but since upgrading to 9.0.0.4_382_19612 I have experienced the near immediate disconnection of node connection back to weaker signal Router connection.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

That’s is interesting? I’ve rolled back to latest stock firmware and set garage up as repeater. At least it will stay connected to garage now.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Good to know, I think I’ll make garage a wireless repeater and keep my doorbell stuck to it.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Hi @arthurlien. To update I found my doorbell had disconnected from node and connected to router (I am on latest December firmware). The router connection was -63 RSSI and node is -50 RSSI (these figures climb during the day). I rebooted router only trying to get Doorbell to connect back on node...

Did everyone with issues factory reset and not use back up settings when upgrading from 380 to 382 firmware?

Good pick up. A manual set up when upgrading to 382 branch would be recommended if wasn’t the case.

I understand that’s where changes should be made, but the node UI can be accessed when you plug an Ethernet cable to it and set a static address on pc Nic.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Hi @arthurlien I noticed when connecting Node via Ethernet to my PC I was able to access full router UI. Would it be problematic to make changes in the Node UI? I assumed access would be blocked.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Would it be easier to move the router closer to node for pairing? Might be an easier solve for now.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Yeah be interesting for sure. I'll kill power to the node a few times over the next week and observe the current behaviour.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

I am noticing that the Client IP Address is showing 'offline' then occasionally it shows the actual IP Address, then it rotates back to 'offline'. The ASUS Router app for IOS shows the devices connected all the time and I am able to connect to devices all the time so it's a UI issue in web...

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

I've just updated router and node to new firmware. I did router first and node second. Previously when node was offline my doorbell would connect to router and stay there until I killed circuit breaker to doorbell and then it would connect to strongest signal. After node came back up from...
