    Hi, Does the Merlin'ed RT-N66U need to be in router mode for the OpenVPN function to work? In other words, will the VPN still work if RT-N66U is in access point mode? The reason is because the setting I have can not use RT-N66U as a router. thank you so much.

    not to hijack the OP but I am having issue to turn on "Service state" under OpenVPN Server Setting tab. When I slide it to ON, it shows "preceding" and then when it is back to the screen, the "Service state" remains off. I have telnet'ed and run - nvram set vpn_serverx_eas="1," keys and such...
