Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5 is now available

I've tried 15 hardware resets, went back to 386.3_2, now 386.4... and this is happening. I'm really frustrated: The problem is that this high 5Ghz network - not 0Ghz - is my main. It's been completely borked since I installed 386.5.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5 is now available

on 386.3_2 and earlier, I could disable WiFi 6. I'm actually saying I've tried 50x but cannot disable it. I've saved the setting 50x and it keeps showing "on".

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5 is now available

I cannot disable WiFi 6 (160Mhz) on AX11000. Tried everything. Half of my devices cannot detect the 5Ghz band. This is a no-go for me.

[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

I've kind of said this before - but the AX11000 is a great repeater (slave) with GT-AC5300 as main. I'm reliably getting 500+ bidirectional (wireless) and same wired into the AX11000, with AC5300 plugged into AT&T Fiber gateway/ONT. vice-versa is sh_t for me.

Can the AC86U handle 1000 Mbps up/down fiber?

Then I'd guess it's a browser issue, or Firefox proxy issue, or DNS (unlikely) issue, or route issue (again unlikely). But if the question is "does AC68U handle 1000mbps" and other browsers/OS/devices (mobile - unlikely) handle this, then it's proven yes - for short spurts. (then again what...

Can the AC86U handle 1000 Mbps up/down fiber?

Dude - which browser? Is it using a proxy? Mac or PC? Or Linux? Which test site? What’s the latency? example - I shut off Apple Private Relay because it nuked my speed. Test sites varied wildly. None showed 800+ - my home network maxes at 400-600 in browsers on wifi - main and extender - but...

Can the AC86U handle 1000 Mbps up/down fiber?

i've been doing this a while - mix/match with AC68U (I have one connected for cameras, one on hot standby, and one warm - preconfigured) my main is GT-AC5300 (upgraded from RT- two weeks ago), and extender is GT-AX11000 - please don't ask why it's not my main. Please. And I'm getting 600+ on...

    New: GT vs RT-AC5300 finding

Which is surprising it appears that they’ve given up on it. $249 new was a great deal. My house is now super stable with 50+ devices. And it appears to be running cooler.

    New: GT vs RT-AC5300 finding

Many have asked; I’ve tried 5 different times, but for unknown reasons the AC5300 (and AX68 or AC68) as repeaters - and some clients - get really slow speeds. My ATT main does 700+ on WiFi 6 devices, which is a good option as well. But the AX11000 as a repeater pushing out 400-500 is superb for me.

    New: GT vs RT-AC5300 finding

I’ve owned an RT 5300 for 3+ years, and after regular issues with 5Ghz disappearing (which I guess is also present in the GT model), I got a GT for $250. The biggest finding (other than the 8 ports I won’t use and the awful firmware design) is the raw speed of 5 GHz (low). I could never get my...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.3 beta is now available

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but which PIA/VPN service do you find is fastest/most stable? Mine does okay on individual devices, but it's awful for whole-home (drops from 500Mbps w/o to 30Mbps w/ VPN on)

Home internet traffic being traced on AWS?

No. It spans devices, and browsers. It's my belief AT&T security is capturing this data through their tools, using AWS-hosted apps. If clients go to VPN or cellular data, it stops. I'd say "the IP must be flagged", and AT&T refuses to release IP's for Fiber customers.

Home internet traffic being traced on AWS?

    @neg7 - UA for follow-up requests is generic/fabricated: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/72.0.3626.109 Safari/537.36

Home internet traffic being traced on AWS?

Just noticed this yesterday. Within minutes of going to my control panel or statistics, an AWS address goes to the same place. Does not login (see: 401 status code). Hosting provider doesn't have an answer. Anyone here? Note that this is browser- and OS-independent, so it's got to be at my ISP...

Donated. Cannot thank you enough - can’t believe there is AX11000 code…

    5.4Ghz Band - channel 0?

AC5300. Merlin 386 b2. Reboot helped. But it reboots every Sunday so it was pretty fresh today. Often changing/forcing 5G channel (i.e. 149 > 153) fixes things (ie AC68U which have disconnected). Not this time. Finally, clients were connected. It was maybe a UI thing, but - since my extender...

    5.4Ghz Band - channel 0?

Never seen this before... My 5.4Ghz-2 channel is showing "auto", but to the right it says "Channel 0" ... and when I go to select it, the drop-down is empty/null.

Wireless can't connect -one- *BAND* (AC5300/weird)

That's a great point re: Sonos and STP. I REALLY miss the old Sonos net - I have older (v1) devices and the performance/reliability was so much better. (actually all the new ones - if not using AirPlay 2 - are a complete load of sh-t)

Wireless can't connect -one- *BAND* (AC5300/weird)

I'm afraid to disable STP since I have multiple Asus repeaters connected wirelessly (I wish I could do wired backbone, but my house/walls are a dumpster fire).
