    [AC-66U B1] Do these fail/go bad after 3 years?

i think - i THINK - it's related to QoS... with the revised version of Zoom (one of the 50 pushed out in the past month).

    [AC-66U B1] Do these fail/go bad after 3 years?

Yeah - and Asus firmware is totally f'ed on these, from what I've read.

    [AC-66U B1] Do these fail/go bad after 3 years?

Thank you. Thought I posted - but I lost connection (not funny)... Turns out something is up with the AC5300. The new AC66U_B1 is top notch, but it too is dropping. (thanks to Dropbox to be the early indicator of network issues; before Win10 shows the Globe of Hell). So at this point, I've got...

    [AC-66U B1] Do these fail/go bad after 3 years?

TL;dr - do AC-66U B1's go bad? Or just corrupt? Long-time user, dumb question. This is my fourth AC-66u (I had two originals, and now two B1's). This was manufactured in 2017 - HW version B2. I use two of them as extenders (AC5300 is my main). One B1 is feeding an outdoor camera and my kids...

    Asus AX11000 HW A1.1

Any way (at all) to tell which hardware version when purchasing online? Amazon's price shot up from the ~$335 range back to $399, after going completely out of stock. All of this is reflected in CamelCamelCamel, btw (high > low > unavailable/out of stock > high).

[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

so in summary, for folks with older units (I have one RT-AC5300 and two AC68U in a weirdly shaped 4000 sq ft home), would you jump to the AX11000 (Amazon has for $339)? Or hold off for now? I have gigabit AT&T Fiber (450-500Mbps up/down wireless downstairs and 200-300Mbps far away; I can get...

RT-AC86U drops WiFi calls after 10-15 seconds

DMZplus mode is what kills my WiFi calling. I’ve turned it on and off. I’ve had conference calls with ATT execs. It’s like dealing with dumb powerless children. The solution is to get the Arris BGW210.

RT-AC86U drops WiFi calls after 10-15 seconds

Not looking for an argument. This isn’t the television show “a million little things”. The Pace 5268 (or firmware) is crap. It is impacting WiFi calling. Google it. Or don’t.

RT-AC86U drops WiFi calls after 10-15 seconds

These articles do not work. They don't do anything. It is a flaw with AT&T's cable modems, with or WITHOUT DMZplus enabled.

RT-AC86U drops WiFi calls after 10-15 seconds

Over a year later, and it's STILL an issue. Double-NAT makes it less severe (I can have calls for maybe a couple minutes), but ultimately, the connection goes silent and drops.

    AC-87U high CPU usage

Agree with above. Using a HDD for video streaming in today’s world is putting too much load on a lower priority service for the router. I use a drive as occasional backup, and even then, i set it to USB 2. A NETGEAR NAS isn’t bad, but something like PLEX might also work well.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14 (and 384.13_2) are now available

I've seen this on occasion - even with clean installs. My primary router (AC5300) has been having issues with the primary (high-frequency) band recently. Clients can't connect - asks for password but doesn't work/connection fails.

    Long-time issue: AT&T Wi-Fi

I tried this in the past. The 3G version was iffy at best. WiFi calling is great on my computer. I think it’s an interference thing.

    Long-time issue: AT&T Wi-Fi

Hey folks - please bear with me. I have three routers at home. ASUS AC-5300 is main, and two AC-66U_B1 are connected as repeaters (not AI_MESH). Speed is pretty good across the board. We get 350Mbps on the main (close connected) and 150Mbps on the two repeaters. Latency ranges from 5ms to 30ms...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.9 is now available

Hey folks - I apologize but I can't find the answer. I cannot seem to dirty upgrade my two 66U_B1 (68U firmware) from .8_2 to .9. Is this a known issue? My AC5300 took some nudging (a couple tries) but worked. No dice on the 66U_B1/68U

    UI crashes

all 3 (master and two repeaters) use the same subnet.

    UI crashes

Hey folks - so I've had some UI crashes (Merlin firmware - I won't say 'version doesn't matter', but I'm currently on 384.7_2). Any thoughts/experience/ideas? Long story short, I have an AC5300 as my primary and two (2) AC68U's as extenders (repeaters). Issue: Trying to enforce parental...

    Different IP main vs. repeater

I swear that up until recently, my devices had the SAME address when connecting to the main router (let's call it, 192.168.10.1) and a repeater (192.168.10.150 or whatever). I have three ASUS routers, and the IP issue appears on both of the extenders: - Main: AC68U - Repeater 1: AC5300 -...
