RT-N66U vs EA4500

Do you need port forwarding? I ask this because I can't get it to work on the RT-N66U. So needless to say it may be a good router, but it does not port forward, I'm thinking about getting the EA4500. I want to keep this one, but if ASUS is not thinking enough about fixing something that's...
