    RT-AC66U Repeater Stability

    I replaced my Netgear repeater with my AC66U (running latest Merlin) in Repeater mode yesterday, after getting my AC68U up and running as my primary router. So far, no stability issues, but only use of a single day so far. Will definitely monitor.

    That makes sense. I have various devices on the LAN that have subdomain addresses that can be accessed via subdomain.domain.com. I can access them fine externally, but not internally on 68 vs the ac66. If I use the IP's while on the LAN, I reach the devices just fine.

    You are exactly correct. I can access the resources forwarded externally, but not within the LAN... hopefully they fix this quickly.

    I've done quite a bit of experimenting, and have found that the ports do eventually open on mine, but lag anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours before they start working. Just for grins, I plugged my AC66U running Merlin's latest, back in and it fired up the port forwarding immediately after...

    After about 6 hours, the port forwarding started working. Very strange behavior. No reboots, nothing.

    Ditto same here. My 68 replaced an Ac66u and port forwarding worked fine. Seems the FW is borked. My coverage is noticeably better than my AC66u measured with WIFI analyzer.

    As always, thanks for the hard work. My only bug is the previously mentioned reverting to WAN during WAN failover mode, which existed in previous versions of Asus's firmware as well. If this gets fixed, this thing will almost be perfect! Thank you Merlin!

    Freedompop Ubee USB stick w/ Merlin's Latest

    Has anyone been able to use a Freedompop Ubee USB stick as a backup on the AC66U? I'm able to connect when it's plugged into a computer, but not on the AC66U when plugged into the USB port. Any help within the firmware settings would be appreciated.
