    amtm amtm step-by-step install guide - L&LD

Also, what kind of USB enclosure did you get for your SSD? Or what kind of SSD are you working with?

Unusual... But I would shut the router off for a few mins, then turn it back on. Let it sit there for a little while and see if it just takes a little time to warm up. Sometimes mine takes a few, but eventually comes up. Other times it's instantaneous.

Looks good! Yeah you don't need to reenable JFFS... That's assuming your router was reset. Good luck!

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Now available in AMTM!)

I'll look into seeing what it might take. Another reason I'm having it quit completely is for the sake of MerlinAU, and don't want to send a false positive that a backup completed successfully when it really didn't before a firmware upgrade happens.

    amtm amtm step-by-step install guide - L&LD

You need to upgrade to v1.8.8 and go into the config, and make sure you are picking the correct USB drive name (not /tmp/mnt/usbdrive). Keep an eye on those error logs, or set up email notifications. This issue was discussed here...

    amtm amtm step-by-step install guide - L&LD

These steps will let you move from a USB drive to an SSD drive, and in the process will restore your router setting, which is benign. It does not restore your router OS. These instructions assumed you just formatted your router and blanked out your harddrive. You wouldn't need to copy the...

If you have a local/network backup using BACKUPMON, this would be really easy to get your environment back to what you had before without any data loss... RESTORE INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT: Asus Router Model: GT-AX6000 Firmware/Build Number: 3004.388.7_0 EXT USB Drive Label Name: ASUS-SSD...

KILLMON KILLMON v1.1.2 -Feb 29, 2024- IP4/IP6 VPN Kill Switch Monitor & Configurator (Now available in AMTM!)

A single IP would be the only IP blocked by the Killswitch if your VPN goes down. That means everything else will be able to get out over the WAN. I believe in your case, you were leaning more towards using it for a range with a /16 CIDR subnet, right?

KILLMON KILLMON v1.1.2 -Feb 29, 2024- IP4/IP6 VPN Kill Switch Monitor & Configurator (Now available in AMTM!)

Could you please explain more what you're envisioning when you lose a VPN connection, preventing access to the WAN?

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Now available in AMTM!)

For those of you backing up your environment to your local USB drive, you will want to install this new version. Thanks to @Just Started for reporting this, and my sincere apologies for not considering what the v1.8.7 changes would do to this backup scenario. I just tested this and seems to be...

KILLMON KILLMON v1.1.2 -Feb 29, 2024- IP4/IP6 VPN Kill Switch Monitor & Configurator (Now available in AMTM!)

That would definitely need to be tested. The only examples I have ever been able to find show that the iptables command can only handle an IP range in its own subnet... Like 192.168.1.50 - 192.168.1.100. You would likely have more luck with the CIDR notation (192.168.0.0/16), but that also...

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Now available in AMTM!)

Some small yet important fixes in this release as it pertains to the new 3006 firmware for our BE users out there! Enjoy! What's new? v1.8.7 - (June 29, 2024) - PATCH: In further compliance with the 3006 firmware and the new BE devices, @visortgw wisely noted that a "modprobe cifs" might just...

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Now available in AMTM!)

Yes, it backs up everything. JFFS typically include scripts whereas the NVRAM contains settings like SSID. The GUI is more manual but essentially the same process. The only thing the GUI doesn't do is also back up your external USB drive, which is essential, and typically holds your entware...
