[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Script doesn’t really tweak the resulting grades. Instead it tweaks what is choked and what isn’t, and to what extent traffic should be choked. You can have great grades, but bad logic will stall groups of traffic. Edit: since the script depriorizes https away from net control (like...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Results are as expected (same as they were before I made the script) Without the script: -net control will have https transfers and will choke everything beneath it -default will contain unifentified traffic but it will be choked since file transfer && video streaming are bulk bandwidth...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Every category has guaranteed bandwidth so the order just really decides who gets excess bandwidth from categories not using all of their guaranteed rates. The post was just a recommendation that works well.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Looks fine, as long as all the values are populated and "Undf FlowID" is not "1:17" then its working, as stated in first post.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Maybe both your game downloads and video stream were both detected as WebSurfing and were lumped into the same category. You should double check with what the rates next to the pie charts reflect to confirm where traffic is going. If both device traffic was going to the same category AND you...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Since you are able to define local ports in your torrent client you choose a single port (or range) and then create a rule for this range in the Fresh qos page redirecting the traffic wherever you wish.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

5 minute delay won’t be eliminated, it’s simply how long it takes for QOS to finish setting itself up. The script has a 5minute delay since it needs to run AFTER qos has completely finished setting up. The fix is for the traffic misidentification glitch for traffic present during the 5-minute...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Pre-existing connections existing prior to QOS being started or connections starting during the 5minute wait, will NOT reflect the scripts updated destinations. Once you enable QOS enable && after the 5 minute wait, any NEWLY started connections/downloads should go into "Web Surfing". This is...

Slow VPN speed - QOS issue ?

The meters show QoS results before the fix/modifications. The FIX puts the “upload” traffic back into “downloads” as expected. Since you gave ipv6 disabled, I am out of ideas.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Disabling built-in rules is not available yet. (It may be implemented in a future release). Do you anticipate the few hardcoded rules causing poor QoS performance? (I can provide a guide how to manually remove them)

Slow VPN speed - QOS issue ?

The only change my script makes with reguards to VPN functionality, is that it includes a rule that does NOT subject "download/incomming" VPN traffic to the "upload" QoS limit. I thought that maybe the fix might be not functioning, but since you tested with limits set to 50/50, it doesn't seem...

Slow VPN speed - QOS issue ?

Are your VPN speeds limited to the upload limit defined in QOS. You said you can achieve 20mbps. This is weird as its higher than the upload limit in the QoS screenshot.

[Request for comment] Addition of sqlite3 client for script authors

Any chance for database write permissions via WebUI?

Did you try this script with it’s default recommended settings? It is significantly different from Asus’, botched, implementation of adaptiveQOS.

Current version does not modify ipv6 traffic. (See table name in the qos page)

Did you see the connection details for the fortnite patch. (It's weird that they weren't using 80/443 server side) -- Feel free to use a more aggressive rule if it continues to be a problem -if Gaming && tcp protocol --> Game Transfering (most games use UDP for game data) More ideally...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Well when playing a multiplayer match, you are actually connecting to random player in match who is acting as host. The host receives packets from all players. He processes the aggregate of this information. He sends out updated the world information to all clients. If the host has a poor...

More likely they don’t use it at all for game p2p data to save money. Toredo could have been enabled interface level for all traffic if they wanted.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

NAT is an issue since they are not using to teredo for game data. They are using it for small segments of XBL sparsely. They don’t need to drop a patch to disable it. Once a client has an IPv6 address, teredo tunneling should not be used as its not needed. The overhead is an extra hop and...
