[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

It's fine after it settles down. I wouldn't worry about it or have it keep you from upgrading.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Realistically, even listening for "restart_qos" still wouldn't reliably catch each QoS structure reset. Ever since like 384.6, Qos likes to restart a few times after the "restart_qos" event is initially triggered. For reliable QoS reset detection, fakeTC would have to send a trigger each time...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

I can. But there are some users on older firmwares before the services trigger was introduced. I didn’t want to break compatibility.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Changing anything to do with TrendMicro can wipe the structure WITHOUT triggering firewall-start (AiProtect, Definitions Check, etc). It is possible to reprogram the script trigger to listen for "restart_qos" instead of "firewall_start" but the current approach allows the script to remain...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Not quite sure as the qos logger built into fakeTC only logs raw commands WITHOUT timestamps. I was mainly checking the raw commands to see if QoS was stuck endless restarting. Upon review, I saw that Tekneeks QoS had 4 restarts when initially activated and then 1 additional restart...

GitHub install command is outdated. Next release it will fall back to single curl command for download, and the GitHub line will work. Use the one in the first post.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Nope. The ac68u works fine on my end with a 5 minute wait.
  8. FreshJR

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Still compatible with 384.10 Looks like the 5 minute wait needs to be increased to 10 minutes for some routers.

@Tekneek A pastebin.com is ideal. If you can’t get it to work. Just email it over to my paypal email.

Forgot rmerlin changed faketc to not use that nvram variable. I’ll update the previous post now.

    Need help finding command

Dump and show are the same thing. But show prints an extra line of stats to stderr nvram dump | grep ipv6.*gateway --> ipv6_gateway= ipv61_gateway= or just go to town with nvram dump | grep gateway
  12. FreshJR

    Need help finding command

actually there are two similar varibles as seen by the output of this command nvram dump | grep ipv6.*gateway but the actual command you requested is nvram get ipv6_gateway or nvram set ipv6_gateway=value

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

@Tekneek You’ll need to 1) turn off Qos 2) touch /tmp/qos_debug 3) Turn on QOS 4) Let everything run for an hour or so 5) Send me the following file /tmp/qos.log (use whatever scp client you are comfortable with) 6) nvram unset qos_debug rm /tmp/qos.log rm /tmp/qos_debug Feel free to...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

So the issue with the AC3200 was that the 5minute delay start is not long enough for adaptiveQOS to finish setting itself up completely prior to performing modifications. I’ll increase the wait to 10 minutes in the next release. Either way. It isn’t a major issue for anyone affected, as the...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

@Jack Yaz your configuration is still working. The affected code block responsible for the modification hasn’t been updated in ages. @L&LD please use [ code] texthere [ /code] tags or pastebin.com But your configuration is fine aswell. @Tekneek Maybe the 5minute wait is not sufficient...

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

@Jack Yaz your configuration is working. @Tekneek, did you modify the script in any way where you could of introduced bugs? Running current version?

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Looks like its partially working. Which is great since custom bandwidths are still beng set, and this is responsible for the bulk of qos improvement. Wont know whats up until I upgrade and look into it.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Looks some code stopped working on 384.10. I will have to update and check it out what happening myself. At quick glance, even if locked out from making changes via the currrent methods, its nothing I cant easily work via another approach. I do wonder what prompted the change. If its Asus...
