[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Ok. I'm vaguely familiar with bonjour from a long time ago but even so, not sure what benefit it actually provides. I remember being able to set up printers with it/zeroconf but that was about it. I'm going to switch it off for a bit and see if it changes my life.

As this is seemingly now implemented, what are the benefits to disabling?

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

I happen to have an aggressive YouTube user in my house, so if you’re interested in lots of field testing, feel free to pass it along.

    Some interesting pandemic internet stats

I saw that too, as a fellow customer. My favorite bit is this: “When is the new busiest time of day?” “Yes.”

Took a minute to get my login screen over https

Ok, I can accept that. I tried it out myself many, many moons ago and did not stick with it because it was slow and problematic. Carry on. Perhaps one of these days I’ll have to do it again and enjoy the fruits of your current labors.

Took a minute to get my login screen over https

I have been watching this unfold and I’m confused by what value is added by using https. Why bother with all the problems this adds?

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

It likes to ping e.crashlyrics.com and doesn’t accept no for an answer. Not that uncommon in iOS apps in my experience

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

None at the moment. And if/when the new changes to certificate validity requirements come to your favorite browser, it is a very minor change in the source code to adjust for that.

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

No change to that behavior one way or the other - pixelserv never modified html/whitespace or any other cosmetic changes.

Are you using b or g clients? If you aren’t, I would set the 2.4 radio to N only. Beyond that, what you describe still sounds to me like either hardware failure or interference. I don’t know why else it would work for a while and then start to bog down. Do you live in a crowded space? I know...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Well I’m only really familiar with the fork these days, been ages since I used tomato. So I would say load up the latest fork, and then reset the nvram afterward. Set up again from scratch, no imported settings. For 2.4ghz, go in and set the channel to something manual such as 11. Disable both...

Well it sounds like you’ve pretty much ruled out software as the problem. I would guess either environmental interference or maybe a hardware failure but it’s hard to say. Did this just start all of a sudden? Perhaps someone else here will have a better idea.

I haven’t loaded D5 yet myself but I noticed that in the changelogs, in D4... Which version are you running?
