    I hit my update button manually and low and behold this appeared GT-AXE-16000 Firmware Version:3.0.0.4.388_24403. Previous version was GT-AXE16000_3.0.0.4_388_24374. Router updated and is now on a later release than whats posted on the website. I assume its coming. CC

    Wow you are correct, they only offer the latest version of the firmware for the AXE-16000. Thankfully I have it downloaded on my computer. Whats crazy is the AXE-11000 still shows you can download previous versions. Did they do this to just the AXE-16000? CC

    I am in the same boat as you. The 9006.4856 Beta firmware works perfectly. I am only afraid of security issues like you. I was told on another thread that as long as you do NOT enable remote WAN access its is safe. Can others comment on this please. I am ready to go back to 4856. CC

    Well I am back to report, after 1 day of operation there was a ton of problems. Streaming services could not connect (No vpn). Numerous disconnections, 2 reboots, and my wifes iphone diconnected several times right in the middle of a call. This release is garbage. Back on 9856 BETA everything...

    DO I need to goto FW_GT_AXE16000_90061024856 beta firmware or is there a way to have a seperate VLAN with LOT on current 388.2 Merlin firmware? If its not possible with 388.2 is FW_GT_AXE16000_90061024856 safe as long as I do NOT enable WAN access? Any help is appreciated. Charlie
