pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

2.2.0-rc.4 is available NEW indicator of TLS 1.3 support status on servstats page. FIXED failed to log server name on unsuccessful handshakes. Garbage may be captured instead. When it happens it may lead to crash or a hung process. (issue reported from @Asad Ali @Protik @jrmwvu04) For details...

Route all ntp traffic to my ntp raspberry pi serverHow

Got the GPS module working on my SBC the other night. It's been a few nights since but with different configs. The most recent 24 hrs seems getting reliable signals consistently at my poor location in urban canyons. Accurate timing is still very interesting for me but I accidentally discovered...

LOL. That was also quite a moment when I first saw it on my browser!

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

2.2.0-rc.3 is available Statically linked binaries that support TLS 1.3 are included. No other functional change from rc.2. For details, pls read the release notes at https://kazoo.ga/pixelserv-tls/. EDIT: correct typo

Also a huge improvement on your side that HTTPS ads > 50% (slh/req) now. If I remember correctly, it's much higher than you ever posted here.

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

Perhaps not for long. I'm planning to offer a statically linked version of pixelserv-tls that will: contain pixelserv-tls + OpenSSL 1.1.1 in a single binary allow people to run TLS 1.3 without waiting for OpenSSL 1.1.1 in Entware enable the optimization flag as well still depend on Entware for...

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

Are you running the version P update of the openssl lib? Without the optimization flag, it's likely to cause such memory issue. Either switch back to version n-1c of the test lib (should be okay if you're not using any openssl related services such as SSH, OpenVPN etc from Entware). Or wait a...

    Asus TinkerBoard

Armbian kernel is mostly taken as-is from the work done by a Polish gent who appears like a Pine64 employee(?). The gent is putting in lots of effort and doing great work. But like anybody else it shares a fair amount of guess work. From DTS perspective, if it still doesn't work, check the...

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

Between 2.1.3 beta and 2.2.0-rc.2, there was a fix and people shall purge old certs and only keep the CA cert (and its key). The above info was mentioned in one of the post here, and on the release page on my blog. While old posts are hard to follow, the release page is quite easy. My users...

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

That's the default configuration from Entware. Entware also has a few quirks in terms of upgrade process. If you install and upgrade manually a few times on packages which are services (such as pixelserv-tls), then you will have realised it and perhaps will have semi auto way to work around it...

    Asus TinkerBoard

rk3328 data sheet says there is "true rng" and I guess I just want to see how it works out. Rockchip didn't make a huge noise about the hw crypto on newer chips. Perhaps that says something already about its performance as well as the hw rng maybe. Have you got chance to test rock chip's...

    Asus TinkerBoard

rk_crypto is the right driver. I borrowed from there and it works for me. I just went through rk3288 dts file in the 4.4.y rock chip kernel. The crypto block is already there. Perhaps it's missing in 4.14.x kernel used in armbian build. After you add that the binding should work. I would...

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

Just a minor correction. I believe the few users popped up here and complaint about pixelserv-tls "Abort: Address already in use - :*:80" did their update from Diversion. I would bet they even don't know how to update Entware/pixelserv-tls outside Diversion.. :)

    Asus TinkerBoard

I was pondering this while working on something else last night. In retrospect, rk3328 should be similar. When one core's frequency changes, the other three follow. So they change together. I've a lot of things to talk about from the adventure that I went through in the short few weeks. I'll...

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

This is a normal debug message. It does not mean something bad. It indicates the client disconnects without saying goodbye. In pixelserv-tls log, if you see "pixelserv-tls[xxxx]: exit on SIGTERM", then it's murdered on purpose (good) or unintentionally (bad). If it's not there until you the...

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

It's me again...seems like you bump into me easily regardless where you ask. lol. Let me try again in this way.. I don't think reinstalling pixelserv-tls will solve the suspected crash problem because from the perspective of configuration on disk, pixelserv-tls is very simple. Reinstall of...

    Asus TinkerBoard

This sounds interesting I wonder if rk3328 is similar. Probably not because I see a noticeable temperature difference with respect to number of cores pushed to the limit. I had some thought about those big heatsinks. If there are some analytics, would be nice to read. I meant I doubt vendors...

    Asus TinkerBoard

You're spot on. rk3328 also has non-trivial throttling. Maybe rk3288 throttles a bit more since it has higher clocks. I saw the same on mine when pushing four cores to the limit. I would assert everyone is about the same on this form factor. So some people install a fan but that breaks the...

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

Resize in the context of expansion into unpartitioned free space should have old data retained. The issue is likely as mentioned a few posts back: one nvram variable, one directory, and/or two files are overwritten as part of FW upgrade. The fix is simply re-run the script to generate a new cert.

pixelserv pixelserv - A Better One-pixel Webserver for Adblock

For troubleshooting, turn on log to LEVEL 5 and let it run until suspected crash. Be prepared..as your syslog will be very busy with messages from pixelserv-tls. You'd better ask in Diversion thread for Diversion way. I believe you'll lose some customisation if you go with stock Entware...
