Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

Ok. Thank you. And you don’t think that there’s any change between 386.12 & 386.12_4 that could inadvertently be causing the Apple TV to sometimes fail to get a reply from the DHCP server? Some LAN setting?

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

Except that it’s the same Apple TV I’ve had for years. And there was no firmware update on that device during the time when the problem began. AND if I reboot my ROUTER (not the Apple TV), then the router will assign it the correct IP. (ALSO, When I simply manually enter the correct IP on the...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

When I go to use my Apple TV for the first time after it’s been in standby for a bit, (I don’t know how much downtime it takes for the prob to manifest exactly), the Apple TV is now all of a sudden getting assigned a random IP address. — But it has a reserved IP address on the router, which...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

Amen. Following this recent series of _x releases has been … cumbersome. In the past, hadn’t you always started a new thread for each release? (Even “minor” 386.xx_x releases?)

Ditto. (I just updated from 386.12_0 to 386.12_4)

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

386.12 is so stable and wonderful. (For real) From what im reading here, since I haven’t yet tried to update to 386.12_2, the verdict is that I should probably just stay put where at. (Unless someone has an argument to make in favor of trying the update…..?)

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.12 is now available for AC models

IMHO: Not having a new/separate thread for the 386.12_2 release is very confusing. (Unless I missed it?)

USB recommendations for Diversion / Skynet?

Question: If we use a SSD/Enclosure connected by USB cable … is it still advisable that we use the USB port in USB 2.0 mode only, or is it OKAY to go ahead and use USB 3.0 (?)

    Diversion Diversion 4.3.3 - the Router Ad-Blocker, released April 02 2023

Have you tried following the log while attempting to access the site … to see what other addresses are blocked at the same time? Sometimes there are behind the scenes/under the hood blocks that, when not whitelisted, break the site. (Ad counters etc.)

SSH to disable VPN (or VPN kill switch)

I did a hard and used a recent backup and all is well. But yeah .. when there’s no internet, there’s no local access. I don’t really get it.

SSH to disable VPN (or VPN kill switch)

That’s the problem. The PIA server I was using appears to not exist anymore. So the router rebooted, can’t connect to the VPN (so the kill switch engages), and — voila! — we’re locked out of the router.

SSH to disable VPN (or VPN kill switch)

(My kill switch has engaged, so my router won’t let me log on to the WebGUI to fix the situation.)

SSH to disable VPN (or VPN kill switch)

Is it possible to SSH into the router to disable the VPN (and/or to disable the VPN kill switch?)

Solved Double NAT Problem — Verizon 5g Home Internet Gateway (LVSKIHP)

Thank you. (I’m not sure which VZW device you’re referencing.) Just the same, VZW recently pushed new firmware for the LVSKIHP 5g Home Internet Gateway, which restored the “bridge mode” option in the GUI — no fancy work-around required. Thank you!
