    But it shouldn’t do anything to isolate the IoT device from the rest of the LAN, correct? Only block the device’s access to the WAN interface? (Also, “blocks” how?) thank you!!

    I responded to clarify, at least for others, that people shouldn’t rely on the “common sense” answer provided as part of their decision to update (or not) … I apologize if I missed/misunderstood a factual basis for your reply?

    Question: what is the “safe browsing” function in the asus router app? (Aka, what is actually happening when enabling one of the filters?) (Sorry — I rarely ever use the app anymore now that I’m back to running Merlin firmware.)

    You can use scMerlin through SSH to restart the web interface to see if that helps.
