Radio engineers: Why doesn't the AX88U Pro's antenna array outperform the AX86U Pro's?

I've seen that, I just never equated the physical rate with the streams / antennas / frequency, my mistake Makes little real if any difference in real life as other factors play a role in overall device throughput over WiFi any way and the 2.4Ghz devices aren't complaing either. And the...

Radio engineers: Why doesn't the AX88U Pro's antenna array outperform the AX86U Pro's?

OCD Satisfied! 😅 That leaves differences between (3 vs 4) Antennas and Spatial Streams for the 2.4Ghz band between both models and if the same is seen on the Pro models 🤷‍♂️

Radio engineers: Why doesn't the AX88U Pro's antenna array outperform the AX86U Pro's?

I've wondered about this issue for awhile but put it out of my mind as I couldn't find way to make them equal to keep my OCD in check, it's sort of of why I'm leaning to looking at using the model models for Router and Node when I replace what I have today. I'm not sure if the same can be said...

    ASUS Unveils RT-BE88U WiFi 7 Dual-Band Router

Checked since it was shared they were at BestBuy US, the three closest BB's to me, and all have stock . After calling and checking with each of them, I could get three of these today, if I were so inclined to be a Beta tester🤞 Too soon and too many unknowns, but now that they're availble...

GT-AX6000 | "WiFi Radar" feature has been removed in 5-22-24 firmware update

Took me a bit to get it working, using the script to by pass the time bomb (using 12/31/1999) on Win10 22H2. This App is awesome, so much info, metrics to monitor, so many options to choose from. Most of all it reconfirms I'm a bad neighbor from a WiFi perspective 🤷‍♂️ 🤣 Though not sure...

AIMesh node vs Access Point mode / AIMesh Router in AP mode

Same channel on all three of mine, same three SSID and no issues roaming around the house or outside either. Before anyone says anything, I know but the channels are clear and no one is near me, just an occasional drive by a WiFi enabled car....

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

Well there goes that theory, ran each manually. Nothing Changed!

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

Script launched from AMTM / 8 everytime. Manual was the update I did because the scheduled update didn't happen when I thought it would (my bad), MerlinAU / 1 / and "Y" if there's an update, before changing the schedule to have MerlinAU run nightly. This has happened with the last few...

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

No, random, can happen with the Router or Nodes. I have seen it pop up as I perform an update, but that's because I launch the script to perform the Update (UP). This was the first release I handed over the controls to MerlinAU. I don't think there's a dependency there. Happens randomly...

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

Yes!, all around. As you’ll see in first post on this, the screenshot has it enabled. All the other devices have it exactly the same way, but yes I opened another SSH window to double check. When I manually update, I do the nodes first, now that I think about it. You’re right, whole process...

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

Yes, now it does 🤭 I read it wrong back when I installed and enabled it on everything. So router on "0 0 * * *" nodes on "30 0 * * *" to avoid conflict to download the Firmware update to the nodes. As I was updating the schedule, got this.... Though I do occsionally get this on the router and...

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

Yes, updated to 1.1.2 before the scheduled update. On the one node that did NOT update, it didn't run, so suspect no log file. On the Router and node where it did not run according to the schedule I set, and I launched manually, it did run so I have logs on those. Both nodes are identical from...

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

Got impatient with the last firmware release and short changed MerlinAU, was determined to let it run it's course with this release, and glad I did. Goodnews: The upgrade from 388.7_beta1 to 388.7.0 process with MerlinAU, and the call out to BACKUPMON, as well as the succes notification email...

scMerlin Not Showing Free jffs With Merlin 388.7 alpha2

Sort of, the "Free" legend has a line through it, Don't remeber seeing this before 388.7 (didn't try with the 2nd alpha) Just upgraded to the beta, will update version on signature it just a bit.

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

On the positive, nice! on the more positive, anything that's learned will only to lead and build upon the library of scripts/integrations On the negative, one less reason to have for avoiding any wifely honey do's the morning after an upgrade as I check emails and status 🤷‍♂️ ;)

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

Crawl, walk, run ;) Not requesting any features. I suspect with the script running on the router and nodes, as I do now, and on a relavtive similar schedule. I get three separate emails to check, vs. one (for now 🤭) 👍

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

Just catching up but should I assume this is to update the nodes using a single instance of the script on the router vs. the way I have it now where a version of the script lives on the router and individually on each node? Not that I have a peference on either approach, I have other scripts on...

    [ 3004.388.7 alpha 1 Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

8 days and a couple of hours in, nothing major has come up. Still get an occasional dnsmasq restart and can tell when its going to eventually occur, which is when I have to reload a web page to get it to complete. Happens one time and it will eventually restart, a few times, repeatedly...
