Current plans regarding separate version branches

Second that, the suprisingly the AC-5300 is still supported, and I had two of them in AIMesh on Merlin (for years and on an early 384 release when I eventually retired them and putting in a closet for quite awhile), before gifting them. If my cousin's house had not been struck by lighting last...

    What firmware for AI Mesh

True to Everything, Though it can be as simple or complex as you want or need it to be. AX88u router, AX86u wired both nodes, all on Merlin 386.6_2, single floor, 4,500sqft (under roof, 10,890 sqft lot includes the patio & drive way) been the same HW for a couple of years, and as much and as...

scMerlin scMerlin 2.5.8 - Service and script control menu for Asuswrt-Merlin, October 20, 2024

I searched around a bit and what happend to me has happenedto others in other releases of SCMerlin, though I didn't find a fix to it. Since I wasn't able to work on it today, and the wife is streaming TV. My first try will be a simple reboot of the router to see if the webgui addons come back...

scMerlin scMerlin 2.5.8 - Service and script control menu for Asuswrt-Merlin, October 20, 2024

Unistall? What exactly? Already did that to get SCmerlin 2.5.0, upon unstall just SCMerlin was impacted, then the install and BOOM An uninstall just removed addons from the GUI. Maybe restore from BAKUPMON the /www directory as the files seem to be all there (best way to do that if even...

scMerlin scMerlin 2.5.8 - Service and script control menu for Asuswrt-Merlin, October 20, 2024

Maybe all is not lost. The User#.ASP files are still there all 1-4, now how to update the Mapping to get them back in without having to resort to drastic measures

scMerlin scMerlin 2.5.8 - Service and script control menu for Asuswrt-Merlin, October 20, 2024

The other Addons disappeared from the addon from the GUI also. Did uninstall / install also upgraded to AMTM 4.4 since I was there Mappings got wiped/overwritten Fortunately, BACKUPMON on the nodes and router, not really sure what to restore, and if would fix the mapping anyway, or...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 is now available

Lost my uptime this AM , for the last few days SPDMerlin was acting funny in that when you would choose too select a server the list would come up blank, had dnsmasq restarts daily. This moring the ASD process was pegged at 100% with the other cores flapping between 20% and 100%. I/O...

Is it a good or bad idea to split SSIDS?

How about both? Got separate SSIDs for devices that due to distance, or other factors, than support either, steered to a spefic radio. Those that are more adable or roam and range/signal strength isn't an issue SmartConnect (pick for themselves what connects). i.e. the Soundbar supports...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 is now available

Moticed last night after getting 386.6-2 on the AX88, as part of my checks. I run through several settings, then Data Casslification then Bandwidth Monitor. Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6_x test builds (dnsmasq 2.90)

If you're testing to the extent I was for the condition I was testing for, you set up to bypass the router's dnsmasq/DNS Firefox if using DOH (disable to use DOT) Everything else, using DOT, configure on the router or using it's own DNS (fixed IP and config), neither DOT or DOH Pick your...

    Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6_x test builds (dnsmasq 2.90)

That moment when the trouble you've been trying to chase down with the release with dnsmasq 2.90 in this firmware. The random performance ones, and the partial page/site loads. Where you have, to an extent, correlated it to a restart of dnsmasq log that you've seen in the log that happened at...

QoS not showing any activity AX88U

You mean Data Classification or Bandwidth Monitor - both need the BWDPI Engine (Trend Micro), if it's off and you go to Data Classification, you should see " Note: Statistics require Traditional QoS mode or the TrendMicro bwdpi engine to be enabled.". BWDPI start up on reboot and runs for a bit...

I can't say its slowness for me, DNSSEC is on though but the pages don't load complete, but now that I see this I'm going to try Firefox set to use DNSSEC and use different providers to see if it happens with that as well...
