    Agreed. You could do a Ryzen-based FreeNAS (diskless) build in way less than a grand and that gives you 8 solid cores. I like the fact that QNAP continuously updates their OS but that's not worth the upgrade price premium.

    Howdy, long time Merlin user. I want to migrate to the NG firmware (still stuck on 380.70) but I have about a 100 or so IPs defined in the static pool via DHCP reservations. Is there a way to migrate them since you can't do a dirty upgrade?

    Regardless of the fact that the specs match the AC88U, they should still send you another unit. Whether you choose to support it or not is entirely up to you.
