Slow speed of 1 device (PS5)

Can you check in the router the link connection rate when ps5 is on dashboard and after 20 minutes of playing Diablo 4? My PS4 has a link of 325mb when sitting still in dashboard that drops to 180/210 when playing a game... All my friends who used to play pvp online switched to LAN connection.

Don't know PS5, but PS4 over wifi struggles when CPU is overloaded playing a game....

Asus updates its EOL list, adds RT-AC1750, AC1900P, AC88U, AC5300

Just to clarify: NSS on qualcomm ipq806x under openwrt isn't officially supported and the community is not too keen on recent qualcomm support to OSS.

Asus updates its EOL list, adds RT-AC1750, AC1900P, AC88U, AC5300

AC68U is not popular in openwrt community because its wifi does not work. Never seen a benchmark of that router on openwrt. Every time someone ask a question about It or Netgear 6250/7000 (same chipset) he Is advised to use dd-wrt or tomato

Only on mediatek mt7621 chipset. Hw Nat is a weak point on openwrt.

With PBR you can redirect a single/group of Port, IP, Interface... You can even use mwan3 to load-balace / failover over 2 or more VPN (even with different protocol). Openwrt can do everything Merlin does, and a lot more. https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/routing/pbr

Policy based routing Is waaaaaaaay better and more granular in openwrt.

Asus updates its EOL list, adds RT-AC1750, AC1900P, AC88U, AC5300

Well, I've used openwrt a lot some years ago with a venerable but epic Netgear wndr3700 (still supported by the way). So I'm not able to tell how long It will take you to migrate. For a simple config (Wan+LAN) perhaps 10 minutes... But if you have vpn, adblocking and more It could take hours...

Asus updates its EOL list, adds RT-AC1750, AC1900P, AC88U, AC5300

As someone said before, with openwrt your router changes from EOL to supported for the next decade. They are supporting routers from over 10 years ago.... You have all the features you want or need as vlan, dual-wan, every vpn (openvpn, wireguard, ipsec, ppptp, tinc, pppossh...) adblocking, dns...

    Opinions of Wireguard security

If someone gains phisical access to your phone and bypasses the fingerprint/PIN to log into It, you are dead anyway...

Check the MTU of the wireguard connection and try to optimize that parameter. If it fails contact your ISP to know if they throttle wireguard via DPI.

    controld

Control.d has serious issues in Italy. I tried their DNS and they block A LOT of legittimate websites....

DNS that blocks Advertisements + Safe browsing?

Don't know in other country, but here in Italy control.d has a huge amount of false positive (filters many legittimate sites).

    New kernel version

Mediatek soc are well supported by openwrt. There's only a problem with 160mhz mode, which is possibile for the chip but deprecated by mediatek. Somehow the openwrt team decided to leave the 160mhz mode available for those who live in a green field situation (0,5% of the world). The other 99,5%...

how to get more than one openvpn connection at a time with certs and user/pass

10.9.0.0/24 Is the tunnel I suppose. What are the subnets in server and clients?

how to get more than one openvpn connection at a time with certs and user/pass

With one server and two clients? Can you post your config? I've never been able to do that..

how to get more than one openvpn connection at a time with certs and user/pass

with duplicate-cn you can't push routes to the clients and so you can't have a site to multisite tunnel. Example: you have lan A with server, lan B with client and lan C with client, with duplicate-cn you can't make lan B see lan C neither lan C and lan B see lan A. Easy solution...
