Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

Interestingly. On my AC86U . The dns_probe_content is * . I guess that means as long as the DNS could resolve it. It will report the internet as working. Idk what this would do when the ISP's DNS goes out tho. Since sometimes ISP have problems with the DNS and since we are using DoT it should...

connmon connmon - Internet connection monitoring

Hey. Is multi destination ping feature in the roadmap or not? The reason I'm asking is i want to have it ping two destinations. One to my local servers and one to somewhere outside my country since sometimes ISP or the link to say other countries is down and the only way to know if it's a fully...

Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server) - General questions / discussion thread 2

Same . But yeah I was thinking of using unbound as a backup recursive DNS. When things doesn't work. But ye.

Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server) - General questions / discussion thread 2

Yeah but the timing on uncached queries. Are quite slow I've heard compared to just Cloudflare etc since they already cache things

Unbound unbound_manager (Manager/Installer utility for unbound - Recursive DNS Server) - General questions / discussion thread 2

Hey guys. So I'm really new to unbound. Never used it before but very interested. Mainly I was interested in having unbound as a recursive DNS but I want it to be as a secondary DNS instead of my primary. I'd like to have cloudflare DNS over TLS as my primary DNS and unbound running in the...

    Asus Captive Portal

I'm actually pretty interested in this feature as well. Especially for guest networks. Pretty nice feature tbh

Skynet Quicker ipsets update? Is it beneficial?

Oh really? Do they have rules on how long we can update it without getting banned? Anyways, do you add more lists or do you just use the one included from Skynet?

Skynet Quicker ipsets update? Is it beneficial?

Hey.. so I know that Skynet updates the ipsets every day . Is it possible to change it to maybe every hour or something? Is it better to do it every hour instead of every day considering that some of the ipsets are updated every minute (by my knowledge) and usually it has hot fixes for false...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 is now available

For me it's the exact opposite. On 386 beta and 386.1 stable. My 2.4ghz drops like crazy every few hours. It's not even funny... Full WPS reset, software reset, jffs reset. Doesn't fix a thing... 386.2 beta fixes it with the new GPL. and now it's been 9 days and it's basically been the best...

spdMerlin spdMerlin - v4.x - speedtest and bandwidth monitoring

Yeh today was not my day I kinda typed that message quick so I didn't double check everything No problem!! Just a wild idea Yep. I'd prob do that too.. so one say with auto server or manual. Then the other one is fixed to my ISPs speedtest server. So they can't deny things when I send over the...

spdMerlin spdMerlin - v4.x - speedtest and bandwidth monitoring

Yeah spdmerlin is one of the best .. i do have some feature suggestions. I don't know if people want this but. Here it is.. So is it possible that for every Speedtest time it automatically do multiple Speedtests sequentially? With the ability to change the servers? (As in. If say I set it to 3...

spdMerlin spdMerlin - v4.x - speedtest and bandwidth monitoring

Thank you so much for the fast update and info. The uf and database reset error is fixed (atleast in my limited testing when it's on usb mode)

spdMerlin spdMerlin - v4.x - speedtest and bandwidth monitoring

Okay thanks!! Also just a question. Since i can't seem to get crontab simulators to tell me this. But if the cron is set to */5 * * * * ... Does that start like every 5 minutes but exactly like 1.05, 1.10, 1.15 or does it depend on when I start the cron jobs ? So if I start it on 1.02 that means...

spdMerlin spdMerlin - v4.x - speedtest and bandwidth monitoring

Ah. And those removes current port forwarding rules yeah? So far I'm doing a workaround by just doing cronjobs on my Pi to port forward it manually every minute. Also. I'm on the latest stable. When I do uf again it complains of error in chmod /jffs/scripts/spdMerlin saying it's not there...

spdMerlin spdMerlin - v4.x - speedtest and bandwidth monitoring

An observation. When it does the Speedtests it seems that it restart the QoS too (I'm using flexqos) and because of that it wipes my torrent port forwarding. Is it supposed to be like that? Or no? I am using autoBW and the exclude from Qos option. Thanks!

    Priority for DoT Server List?

Woah thanks so much! Anyways I've decided to just leave it in roundrobin mode, since my list only contains Cloudflare and Google's DNS Servers. As far as I know they are both unfiltered and fast so I guess I'm gonna let it be in round robin mode. As long as I've got internet access if one of the...
